A spacious retro apartment in a very central location. A little noisy when the clubs close !
Anonymous from Roseville, New Brunswick - Posted: 2/10/2026
Apartment extremely well located - only few min to the slopes. Grocery right at the bottom. Very comfortable for 4 peopleAnonymous from Frisange - Posted: 1/2/2026
The condo was quite rustic & needed some upgrading but was quite charming & in a great location at a very good was a great space for two couples to share & we would have definitely booked the same place again, however, Moe Joes Nightclub was right below our condo & the music was heard throughout the condo, disturbing our sleep every night. The third night was the worst. The music never went off all night. We didn't sleep at all & by 5:30am decided to shower, pack up & leave. The music was still playing although the site says only open until 2:00am. Would never stay there again because of this.Anonymous from Duncan - Posted: 12/19/2025
Easy 8 mins stroll to lift chair (right) and sledding area/ ice skating rink (left). Grocery and ski rentals just downstairs. Great spot for families. A little noisy at night with restaurants downstairs but it didn’t brother us. The location is more important and we were in the perfect location. Will be back.Anonymous - Posted: 12/21/2024
We have been coming to Whistler for several years now and always stay in The Rainbow Lodge. It is a great location; central to everything, and always maintained well.Anonymous - Posted: 8/4/2024
Loved the location of Rainbow Suites and the common area outside the rooms is so lovely! The unit itself is quite outdated, with some broken things (dishwasher doesn't stay in it's nook, blinds were broken). I was not happy that there was ant poison on the ground and we were not aware; we have a crawling infant who almost got into it. It was otherwise very clean. 10 am checkout is far too early. Can be delays in communicating with the company, as phone calls went through an answering service. Really appreciated the included parking.Anonymous from Fall River - Posted: 3/13/2024
The property location is fantastic, so close to everything. However our suite was not clean, all the crockery was filthy and dust throughout. There is a dog and cat living in the complex and cat poo was in the common areas for days until we cleaned it up ourselves.Anonymous - Posted: 1/11/2024
The location was ideal, but can be noisy late at night as there is a taxi rank outside. Watch out for the sunken lounge, as the steps are difficult to see and I was lucky not to be seriously injured when I fell on the way to my suite.Anonymous from Penicuik - Posted: 9/7/2023
This was a great choice, in the village next yo all shops, restaurants...the place was perfect for us a family of 4. Clean place, bedding, and all amenities available. We service when needed was prompt, overall highly recommend it.Anonymous - Posted: 7/13/2023

Very nice location. Management staff were very helpful. However this property is advertised for 6 people. The two rooms with queen beds were nice but pull out couch in the living room is incredibly uncomfortable and one person (let alone two) could hardly sleep in it, so we had one person on cushions on the floor. The suite was pretty clean but couches and floors need upgrading as they are obviously old. Management staff very helpful and brought extra blankets for us. Location is great except very noisy when bars get out late at night. Kitchen well equipped and clean. Thank you!Anonymous - Posted: 4/11/2022
The staff were extremely helpful and friendlyAnonymous - Posted: 2/16/2022
Location was fantastic and condo was clean. It is definitely old. The rug is supposed to be light grey is very thin and dirty looking. The toilets and shower have weak pressure, leaky and grout is missing. However it felt clean enough. Bed is a decently firm. Bring an eye mask if you are in the loft part. It gets very bright.Anonymous - Posted: 7/20/2021
We knew the place was an original to Whistle and you can’t beat the location. No one expected the crazy heat wave, no air conditioning was tough. The room had repairs needed like tiles and the kitchen was missing some key elements such as a cutting board. There was also a lot of aunts inside the unit, found one in our bed! I think it would be a better stay in the Winter, the common area was awesome. A winter stay is only what I would recommend to others.Anonymous - Posted: 7/15/2021
usually stay at the crystal lodge
found unit out dated worn out
food stuck to wall above bedroom door
water pressure in shower very poor
Anonymous - Posted: 1/4/2021
The place was very clean and spacious. The location is great with secured underground parking. The customer service team was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely book again.Anonymous - Posted: 10/18/2020
If your looking to be close to the night life, and lifts, you can't beat this. However for ~500 per night for a one and a half bedroom place I would expect I little nicer. Also as others have reviewed if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs.Anonymous from Tucson - Posted: 1/30/2020
Emailed details of the property’s location and access codes came too late meaning a very stressful long period on arrival trying to track down these details. The property itself was great although the bed settee was uncomfortable. The problem was the communication from the property management company.Anonymous from Llanegwad ED - Posted: 9/15/2019
I enjoyed staying at the Rainbow Suites. It was basic and had everything we needed. There was no air conditioning or reception but the fans and door codes worked fine. When someone had parked in my parking spot late at night, Tanya the manager dealt with the problem right away. Overall I enjoyed my stay. Whistler is beautiful.Anonymous - Posted: 8/19/2019
Came to Whistler for the first time and was looking for something reasonably priced in the Village (I know, I know, looking for a unicorn). Having read the reviews and seen pictures, we knew the space wouldn't be modern by any means, but we found it comfortable for our needs nonetheless. Good space to spread out in the bedroom and loft, full and half bath to allow for some separation, and plenty of extra basics - utensils, towels, toilet paper - so no concern for running out mid-week.
The idea is to be outside in Whistler, and that's where we were 90% of the time. This place was perfect to come back to after daytime activities and was very walkable from nightlife (important for 2 single women no matter how safe the area is) - the convenience was absolutely its greatest asset. The balcony was a nice touch, too, as being able to open the doors and let the breeze through was helpful for cooling off after a hike or when sleeping.
The building's common space (between where we came up the stairs and where we walked into the condo) was notably stuffy/musty, likely from lack of ventilation. In all fairness though, we spent a total of 15 seconds there each time we came in and out so it wasn't a deal breaker. I was also impressed by the noise insulation at the property. We knew there were other people staying in the building (from running into them in said common space), but we never heard them coming in and out of the building or at night. Only nighttime noise was from the shuttle stop and Tommy's.Anonymous from Richmond - Posted: 7/26/2019
We knew what we were getting into, so we had a 5-star experience. The bones of the accommodation have not been renovated, which for us makes it awesome. There’s wood paneling everywhere and unique structural elements like an inset common area and somewhat terrifying drop-offs into the living room. Our 4 and 7 year old loved climbing around, and it’s all super cozy and charming. The vintage elements get real with the access stairwells smelling like a chicken coop and paper thin walls that make you feel part of the 1-3 AM bar/club noise from the comfort of your bed. Bring earplugs. Those were the only negatives. Clean, all of the kitchen needs to cook full meals, games, TV, plenty of seating, friendly vibe from neighbors, and the location is crazy good. Grocery store and bookstore and coffee shop literally downstairs. Short hike to the gondola through the village. You feel like a retro hero in this place. We would definitely stay again. All of the arrival communication was timely and professional, and the price is fair given the circumstances. Gem.Anonymous from Bellingham - Posted: 4/6/2019
The property is in the heart of the village. The approach from the car park was dark and dank but the property itself was clean and quite spacious though the furnishings and fittings had been well used. The location was excellent.Anonymous from Newport (Newport) - Posted: 6/22/2018
Layout: 1 large downstairs bedroom with a door. There is room for a camping mattress on the floor, too. Large living room. It's sunken, and the drop is 2 stairs. You can easily miss the steps in the middle of the night. This is not the place for anyone with any sort of mobility issue. There is no elevator in the building. You're lugging your luggage up 1-2 flights of stairs. There is no bellman. Kitchen is small. Quality of utensils, cups, glasses knives is poor. If you're a chef, you might want to bring your own. Full size fridge and full oven/stove. Electric cooktop. One good frying pan. Downstairs half bath is roomy. Large closet for coats and jackets in kitchen
Upstairs full bath, roomy. Large loft bedroom. Again, room for a crib or mattress up there on the floor. Large closet. Large luggage storage closet.
Common area to get away from your crew for early risers or those who like to stay up late talking.
Pros: Fantastic location, above liquor store, great small grocery with EVERYTHING you need, Pharmacy and coffee shop. Staggering distance from about 4 clubs. Inexpensive. Easy walk to lifts with ski gear and carrying skis. There is not a cheaper place that is closer.
Cons: Rustic. Has not been renovated in 10y. The whole condo is 40y old. The blinds don't work. There is a lack of lighting, a lamp is broken, now missing. Stairs- no elevator. Some noise from the common area if other residents are entertaining, and noise from the Aussies when they are discharged into the taxi loop area at 0230 every night when the bars close.
Ive rented this place 2x/yr for the last 10 y. We are used to the cons. But it's not for everyone. Hope this helps.Anonymous from Decatur - Posted: 4/10/2018
I visit Whistler a few times a year. Usually I stay at the Crystal Lodge, but this time there was no availability for the dates I was coming up. I always book my travel with Whistler Blackcomb and they suggested Rainbow Suites.
The location is AWESOME! You are right in the center of the village. The price was great. Check in was SUPER easy, and the condo was VERY clean. I was a little shocked to have my credit card charged for $650 the day we arrived.. gather that was for incidentals. Never the less, it was a bit of a shocker, and I have yet to have that amount credited to my card.
I really cant say anything bad about the condo EXCEPT for the fact that 3 of the 4 nights we were there, we were woken up to loud, drunk guests who congregated outside the windows of the condo, as the condo over looked the Taxi pick up area. People would hang around waiting for taxis and shuttles. The last night it was so bad, that we were woken up at 1:45 AM and couldn't fall back to sleep until 3:30 AM as that was when it was finally quiet. We were close to calling the police as it sounded as though people were fighting in front of the unit.
All in all, it was a great deal, location is superb, condo was super clean, but the noise factor will make me think twice before I book here again.Anonymous from Los Angeles - Posted: 1/30/2018
good for the price. kitchen faucet appeared to be loose. Bedroom door latch plate fell out...appeared to have been kicked loose, then stuck back in place. No dishwasher-only soap was present. the container with liquid detergent said it could be used in dishwashers but it resulted in foam oozing out.Anonymous from Bellevue - Posted: 12/13/2017
Best location yet. Parking is wery handy. Not accessible to wheelchairs. Digital codes are handy, no keys. But be carefull at checkout. Your code stops working a 11am on the dot.Anonymous from Nanaimo Central - Posted: 11/21/2017
I really liked this place. The location is great and it's good value. Don't expect anything flash and you wont be disappointed. It is quite old but in reasonable condition. I shared it with a mate so we had plenty of room and storage for all our gear.
The kitchen is well enough equipped to manage and we cooked most nights. There is a balcony for enjoying a beer on after a days riding.
I would happily come back again and probably will.Anonymous from Sydney - Posted: 9/23/2017
Unit does not have a/c, this is tolerable by opening up windows and using fans. Downside was that every night there was a party with loud music and loud taking all night long! The worst sleep I have had yet! the location was great, just super loud.Anonymous - Posted: 8/14/2017
Our stay was brief but very comfortable. I really felt cozy with the somewhat rustic ski cabin style finishing. Bed was very comfortable. The kitchen could use a few more items such as a cutting board, and a couple of new frying pans. Overall the stay was enjoyable!Anonymous - Posted: 6/21/2017
A very nice condo, all the amenities that you would want right in the Whistler Village. Also a great location right next door to the Whistler Conference Center and grocery store. A bit of a walk to gondola but not that bad at all. Only real complaint was the noise from parking area outside at night from a bus stop where a noisy crowd gathers around 2:30 AM (too bad). Otherwise a terrific place to stay at Whistler.Anonymous from Ramona - Posted: 4/17/2017
Poor. Very noisy location at night, it was like people outside were inside our room it was so loud. No blankets and douvets too hot. Foldout bed was extremely difficult to fold back up. We're told house keeping would not help. Place is very run down and tired. Fireplace stone falling apart.Anonymous - Posted: 3/26/2017
No problems except for finding the place to start out with.Anonymous from La Crescenta - Posted: 1/17/2017
Fantastic place, with everything you need. I didn't find it noisy at all. This suite is in a very convenient location, the only down side is the parking. A lot of people in Whistler during the long weekend and all parkades were filled to the max.Anonymous - Posted: 9/23/2016
Simple, roomy and charming accommodation in the heart of Whistler Village. No significant noise except passerbys talking loudly at street level a few times in evening. Some high areas of ceiling and walls could use a dusting. Good customer service as the DVD player didn't work and a new one was delivered by agency a few hours later. I would stay here again!Anonymous - Posted: 9/13/2016
Condo is fairly clean except for the disgustingly dirty carpet in the living room. The kitchen is equipped as expected. The big problem is the bar next door which makes for very noisy late nights. The music pulses and then when it closes the people outside are even more noisy than the music. The windows are so bad that you'd swear that the people are in the room with you.Anonymous - Posted: 8/9/2016
Overall this is very good and affordable vacation rental right in the village. However when the bars close around 2a.m, expect a lot of noise as one off the village exit spots taxis pickup locations is located right under your bedroom window. If your a sound sleeper go for it.Anonymous - Posted: 8/1/2016
Our son and dcaughter-in-law participated in the 2016 Tough Mudder at Whistler. My wife and I agreed to provide child minding support during the event. We chose the Rainbow Suites based on its close proximity to centre of Whistler Village....and the location was great! The unit is exactly what it says on the website. The loft worked for my son and his wife, the grandkids on a comfortable pullout couch and my wife and I with our own bedroom. The unit is spacious and well appointed. The only two downsides to the visit was the lack of elevator and street noise as the bars closed...the bedroom overlooks the taxi stand. The loft bathroom bathtub could use more dilient cleaning.Anonymous - Posted: 7/14/2016
We stayed Thursday through Sunday over Canada Day weekend. The location was great, it was easy to walk to restaurants and shops. Thursday night was quiet, however Friday/Saturday night it was quite loud (music/bass) as there are several bars very close by. If you'll be going out too it won't be an issue! The unit was very spacious so we found it to be good value for the price.Anonymous from Greely - Posted: 7/12/2016

A "good time" is what we want all of our guests to have when they come to Whistler. Thanks!Whistler Retreats staff
Family and I had a great time on our 10 day Whistler vacation. We will be back next year. The vacation rental is perfectly placed in the village. From a grocery store to restaurants and bars all in a very short walking distance. Black Comb and Whistler Lifts are very very close to the condo.Anonymous from Princeville - Posted: 4/8/2016
Perfect little spot right in the village, close to everything you could need.Anonymous - Posted: 3/16/2016
There were no elevators. The pull-out couch was hard to sit on.Anonymous from Chilliwack Central - Posted: 1/29/2016
This unit was well equipped, if a bit heavily used. Parking a cinch to get to and everything you need (grocery, booze, restos) is right below the unit.
The location can't be beat in Whistler Village but it comes with a price. Right next to the taxi loop, it is incredibly loud between midnight and 2AM (bring ear plugs!).Anonymous from Calgary - Posted: 1/27/2016
The best attribute of the property is its central location to the village. It is close to ski rentals, grocery store, liquor store, pharmacy and lots of restaurants and bars. And minutes to the lift. With a full kitchen it has everything you need. The one drawback is the noise from the nearby bar at about 3 am or so when everyone goes home. Ear plugs fixed that.Anonymous from Toronto - Posted: 3/22/2015
The place was nice enough. Had some broken floor tiles and showed its age in other ways too, but with this place you're paying for the location. The pull out couch was in terrible condition for an adult to sleep on. If you're planning to rent this for a "3 bedroom" be ready for the person stuck on the pullout couch to be very unhappy. The outside noise was worse than expected and so was the music coming from the dance club across the way. I even brought earplugs because I'd read the other reviews and they barely helped. If you're a heavy sleeper though, like your from a major city (NY, Toronto, etc.) it probably won't bother you.Anonymous from Manhattan Beach - Posted: 3/2/2015
We have stayed in this unit 5 times in 5 years, but we won't stay there again. The unit has not had a single update in the last 5 years, and is now beginning to look worn. Although the location is great for skiing, the noise outside at night has gotten out of hand. The bus station, as well as a night club, are just outside the window. Most nights that means loud drunks. The town should do something about the area around the bus stop -- police presence or security? The noise must disrupt many people in the area.Anonymous from Burnaby (Burnaby Heights / Willi - Posted: 1/28/2015
