Lovely cosy studio apartment
Lovely clean apartment, well equipped with all you would need. Loved the big fridge freezer. Very central at the edge of the village yet still surrounded by nice shops and eateries. Also big supermarket across the road. Everywhere in the village was within a 15 minute walk.

Great apartment with very convenient location
I stayed four nights in the Marketplace lodge and I am very happy with my choice. It is very easy to reach the lodge by car, even during peak season. The safe underground parking is good, although lots can feel a bit tight in case it has a pillar on one side. The apartment in itself was well equipped, nicely furnished and quite spacious. The small balcony was a bonus, although very hot during the heat wave. All apartments are within walking distance of the main sights, restaurants and bars in the village. Highly recommended.

Affordable place with great location
Like I said great location with super affordable pricing. A quick walk the the Whistler and Blackcomb gondolas. Near the supermarket, pharmacy, BC Liquor and many more. Parked the acr when we git there and left it in the parking lot. Early check-in (a couple hours) when we called them the day of. View on the parking lot but we were there to ski so didn't really bothered us.Only down side, the quality of the mattress. A bit too thin and not firm enough!

Condo was as described.
Condo was decent.

Booking through Marketplace needs improvement.

Booked through Aeroplan points and they did not send me an instruction email a few days prior as stated. I had to contact them 1 day prior and they informed that they were too busy to respond and that they would call me back. They didn't. I called them the day of to ask if I was sleeping in the hallway and they finally sent me the instruction email.

Clearing in went smoothly less the wifi password and login. Instructions did not match modem. Modem was correct.

Overall 7.5/10 with some pretty easy fixes to implement.

Good

Once I Got in my Stay was great.
My accommodations were great. This is my third time staying in the Markeyplace Lodge. My room was just the right sized and was extremely clean.

Well the weather during my stay was not what I was expecting from past visits.

Then there was the bus strike.

Both of which were outside of the company’s control.

Tired, dirty, uncomfortable
Initial entry to the apartment complex was frustrating as the intercom does not work very well and the people that answer it are very difficult to hear. The apartment itself is very tired, unclean and not stocked very well e.g. only 1 wine glass. The furniture and bedding are very old and the sofa bed is very uncomfortable, every spring can be felt. I definitely would not recommend this unit to anyone.

Two thumbs down for whoever is in charge of their customer servic
Unfortunately I had to cancel my trip. I understand that I may not have been able to change my booking dates or get a refund so close to my expected travel dates, but the person I spoke to on the phone was so extremely rude about it I would never rent from this place again. Save yourself the time and money and rent from Airbnb, you can get the same units for the same price with better cancellation policies.

Not what I expected.... Pictures did not match our room.
We arrived and could not get in as our booking company did not send us the completed paperwork. We had to phone multiple times to figure things out as the link and phone number was to a different resort. When we finally figured it all out we got to our room and there was a Murphy bed ... not an actual bed.

The sink in the bathroom was plugged with some pretty nasty hair and crab chunks so it did not drain. Maintenance came to try to fix it, but it would not drain properly so we had to use the kitchen sink to brush our teeth and wash our faces.

The toilet would flush and then run water for about 20 minutes after each flush. That should be fixed too. I did not use the dishwasher as there was paper towel attached to the bottom of the door that was meant to stop a leak.... I was not going to risk it leaking.... So we washed our dishes by hand.
We couldn’t use the hot tub as it looks like some people who may live in the building have figured a way to book up all the spots before we could even sign up for one. It did look very nice though.

On a positive... the location was great and the tv worked. I was also surprised that the Murphy bed was comfortable as well.

Great central Location
Second floor unit. Wish it was a 3 rd floor, as we had a view of 2 big trees outside. Hot tub is great, could use a cleaning. close to many shops, fast food and a 10 minute walk to the mountain base on the village stroll. Unit we were in (Marketplace 212) had a minimal amount of dishes and cutlery. only enough for 4 people. No cups or plates for kids. The in suite laundry, dishwasher and AC were a plus.

Ski holiday in Whistler.
The location and price were excellent.
Unfortunately the apartment decor and furnishings were old.
The bed linen was not clean, there were hairs and grime in the bathroom, and the dishes needed washing. The fold-out sofa was damaged.
It was great to have our own wee laundry. Being able to cook is a huge bonus. The fridge was large.

Whistler retreats back to the 80's
Amazing location! Close to everything in village. Only downfall is #212 is stuck in the 80's! Nothing has been remodeled and the dishwasher sounded like it was going to blow up so dirty dishes left in it. Hide a bed was so uncomfortable and did not work very well. Spend some $ and remodel and ot would be perfect

Spring Break 2019
Marketplace Lodge Studio #212 was okay at best. We had a late check in so when we followed the directions for checking in at the intercom, it was malfunctioning. We called the agent directly to report the problem. She told us to keep trying to follow the directions. After multiple failed attempts, the agent finally sent the manager to meet us to check us in. The manager tried to work the intercom and realized it was malfunctioning. She checked us in herself so that went okay.

The fireplace wasn’t working and we called to ask assistance after numerous attempts to figure it out ourselves. The agent said we needed to turn off the heater in order for the fireplace to “sense” that the room needs heat. We’ve never heard of that before, and needless to say, that didn’t work out. At least the heater was working.

There were other issues like the bathroom fan would be on all day and night (no switch to turn off) and the fridge making loud noises. What we paid for 5 nights is not comparable to the quality of the room. We would rather fork out more $$ across the way like at Northstar to equate cost to quality.

Pros: hot tub, location, customer service

Should not be your first, or second, choice.
It was 95 out and the pilot light was still on so fireplace gave off heat. Remote for AC was broken. I had to stand on a chair to turn it on and it had no controls. The bathroom fan was stuck on and when we flicked the switch for the bathroom lights, it sparked, but no lights. Had to call twice to get it fixed. Sliding door lock was broke. Juice glass had chip along lip. Murphy bed was fine but sleeper sofa was bent up at top and bottom. No where near a flat surface. Housekeeping came to door a half hour before check out and just stood there. I told them to go as check out was still 30 minutes away. Parking spot is super small. Location is good but if you can be somewhere else. Do.

Whistler Village
It's in a cool location right next to the Olympic logo. There is a drug store right downstairs and a grocery store across the parking lot which is super convenient. It's about a 10 minute walk to the gondolas for Whistler and Blackcomb so the location is good.

So much money for so little
Never paid this much to stay in whistler before. I was expecting a lot more. The room was normal. Got woken up multiple mornings by someone working on the roof outside. The noise from the parking lot would go on to around 3am. The bathroom was in need of an upgrade. Did not understand why the table was set. Was i not suppose to use or did i need to put the dishes, etc away. The room did have spacious closets. TV worked poorly and the wifi went out continually.

Good stay
Stay was good. Rental office isn't well marked and difficult to find. More information on that would have been helpful. Also, some information on the shuttles/bussing to get to the ski hill would have been really helpful. Through talking with the locals we realized there was a free bus to the base. That would have helped us out the first day of skiing.

Our Stay
It was very difficult to find the office building as no numbers are on signs out on the road showing the plaza was it.
Was a little disappointed to find no real bed and that the set up of the room was awkward. Also, getting the TV to work and phone wasn't plugged in. Using my cell called for help and she didn't really know how to help, just told me to use the remote and plug in the phone.

Good location at worst stary ever
Stayed at Marketplace Lodge for a weekend. I booked the room for my mom and I that stated was a studio suite with 2 queen beds. The ad did state that one was a hide-a-bed but that was all. When we did get to room noticed that there was no regular queen bed only a murphy bed and the hide-a-bed, which was a huge disappointment. When we pulled down the murphy bed it was obviously not a queen. When I called the management property I was told that all the other rooms were booked and that my only option was to cancel my booking. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told no one was available and I had to ask to get someone to call me the next day. That didn't happen either. Shortly after hanging up the other room problems became apparent. First was the wall trim was falling off. Next air conditioner did not work properly and the remote had tape instead of a proper battery case. And finally bathroom sink did not drain, or that it did but took 10 minutes to which means it was plugged with god knows what. Gross. I can't say I would ever stay at this place again. Especially since my friend stated right across the street in a very nice 2 bedroom/ 2 bath condo with a private hot tube for only $50 more a night.

Marketplace Lodge Studio #212
Our family spent four days and three nights at the Marketplace Lodge in studio #212. It was great to be within walking distance of the lifts, and also to be just outside of the the commotion of Whistler Village. Our friends lucked out and stayed in #214, right next door, which was a much nicer studio, with better amenities overall. In addition, their check-out procedure was much simpler than ours. They simply left their keys in their room, while we had to drive to another hotel to return our keys. Their is no check-in or check-out at the Marketplace Lodge, as the lobby floor seems to be closed up indefinitely. Entering and exiting the building feels slightly convoluted, but we figured things out fairly quickly. Even though our room was a little rough, and not nearly as nice as our neighbors, the price and location were great, and I would consider going back for another stay. With that said, I would try to book #214 first.
