Very nice, spacious, comfortable, clean apartment. Near centre of town , supermarket and restaurants .Anonymous from London - Posted: 9/17/2025
Very accommodating staff and pleasant unit.Anonymous from Roberts Creek - Posted: 5/15/2025
Great apartment, good location in the village close to shops and easy walk to slopes-10 minutes. Parking available underground and the apartment itself is very large, comfortable bedding and good shower facilities.
The communication and experience in resort was easy and quick each timeAnonymous from Royton - Posted: 4/8/2025
We had the pleasure of staying at this place for 3 nights. We were visiting my daughter as she loves in Whistler. The location of this spot is perfect. It is right in the village and close to a grocery store and another convenient amenities. We were very fortunate to have been allowed an early check in and late check out so thank you again for that. This place had all that we needed ( only recommendation would be a kettle but no big deal). We were able to cook breakfast and dinner here. Overall a great place to stay and also loved being able to use the hot tub.Anonymous from Scarborough - Posted: 1/7/2025
Very good!Anonymous from Roberts Creek - Posted: 12/11/2024
We were very surprised by our suite! I think we were upgraded for free (for reasons that remain unclear)- I thought it was going to be a bachelor suite with a Murphy bed but turned out it was a full suite with a separate bedroom. Was a nice surprise considering I was a bit worried about the Murphy bed actually being comfortable. Very clean unit and had everything we needed. The entry and exit process (although LOTS of reading and a bit of complexity to it) went without any hiccups. The company is VERY responsive to any questions or concerns! Intro email should mention that there's bike storage down in the parking garage (maybe I just missed it)- this would have saved us time trying to figure out what to do with our bikes. Only issue was that the parking stalls are VERY tight (not great for pickup trucks).Anonymous - Posted: 9/16/2024
Great apartment, had everything I needed & expected. It's a 10 minute walk from the lifts (in snowboard boots), Fresh St Market is next-door and plenty of food & drink options nearby.
The only minor down-side to this apartment is, when it snows overnight, with it being next to a main car park, the ploughs are up early clearing the snow. So I was woken up early on a couple of mornings.Anonymous from Elwood - Posted: 3/11/2024
Marketplace is well located . I was there for a 28 days and was let alone for condo cleaning . No house cleaning bed towels replacement for 28 DaysAnonymous from Embrun - Posted: 2/7/2024
WE really enjoyed the accommodation in a great locationAnonymous from Arrowtown - Posted: 1/16/2023
The property was perfect for our needs, enjoyed it immensely. The only thing i would like to see is sign up times for the hot tub. It seemed to be dominated by the same people.Anonymous - Posted: 3/6/2022
We had a great time staying in unit 304. It is very cozy, spacious and clean. Location is perfect. Will come back again.

Very clean and comfortable, and easy access to the
Village. Kitchen well supplied with all necessary
dishes, etc.
Have been coming here for many times for a nice
"get away" in September and look forward to next
year!!

Have stayed in this unit on several occasions and always clean, sufficient kitchen supplies, cute outside deck & very convenient to shops. Nice view at mountains & close to trails for walking.
Anonymous from Nanaimo North - Posted: 10/3/2020
Easy access to groceries and the underground parking was a great benefit. Walk to lifts was a little long with gear, but shuttle bus is very close.Anonymous from Mamaroneck - Posted: 2/21/2020
Marketplace Lodge is my choice due to its convenience- steps from the shuttle to the lifts, easy access to grocery, coffee, and multiple eateries.
Cosmetics and upkeep seem to have taken a leap forward over the last year, compared to several previous stay. Will use again in the future.Anonymous from Edmonds - Posted: 12/23/2019
A very positive experience -- quiet, comfortable, clean and well supplied kitchen. Outside deck enjoyable for people watching & mountains in the background. Air conditioning was very much appreciated! A pleasure, again, for a mini vacation! Looking forward to returning next summer.Anonymous from Nanaimo North - Posted: 8/31/2019
Awesome outstandingAnonymous from Richmond Hill Southwest - Posted: 3/12/2019
Very comfortable, easy access (a trolley would be helpful to take up luggage etc from carpark). Really enjoyed seating at window - great people watching!Anonymous from Nanaimo North - Posted: 9/22/2018
We were happily surprised how great the location was. Just on the other side of the Market Place Lodge was the Olympic Sign and skating rink. It was an easy walk to the Gondola. Sure it is at the end of the Village Stroll but it is right where all the action is.
Easy to find. Everything was provided for easy vacation living.
Overall a great experience.Anonymous from Chilliwack Central - Posted: 3/27/2018
The condominium was ok. Check in was not great as no one answered the phone, went up elevator with someone that had already checked in. The condo conditions were ok but a little dated, bed not very comfy. The location to most amenities was good, though a fairly long walk in ski equipment to lifts. My room faced parking lot so lots of snow removal ploughing at 3AM.Anonymous from Egbert - Posted: 3/5/2018
It is the best location for us when we stay in whistler, especially if the village is your ideal hotspot for dinner, site seeing, snowboarding, coffees. The staff were so accommodating to our needs.Anonymous from Blackwater - Posted: 2/6/2018
The location was ideal for getting around. Grocery store was close. And bus stop was at the end of the complex.Anonymous from Pearl City - Posted: 12/16/2017
Nice people!Anonymous from Seattle - Posted: 12/12/2017
We were very disappointed in the condition of the condo, for the price we paid. The unit was old, unclean, toilet did not work well, fridge was noisy, mattress was uncomfortable, bathroom sink kept clogging up, we needed assistance to connect the tv to cable which took 2 phone calls and l finally fixed it myself.
Pros: location is good, size of the unit comfortable, parking good, shuttle is downstairs or 15 minute walk to gondola.

Stayed at the Marketplace Lodge for a week. Unit was clean and well equipped. Full kitchen allowed us to cook our own meals. Grocery store and liquor store are right there. Only draw back is snow clearing of the major parking lot outside the unit occurs at 4:30am. Scrapping of asphalt and the constant BEEP...BEEP...BEEP of backhoes is not our favourite alarm clock. For that reason alone we look elsewhere if returning to Whistler.Anonymous from Chelsea - Posted: 1/17/2017
very nice and quietAnonymous from Vancouver (West Kitsilano / Jeri - Posted: 12/28/2016
This isn't the 4 seasons but it is clear and comfortable and right in the village at the Olympic Plaza. Whistler Retreats, the propert management company is a little goofy. You check in somewhere else and there is no front lobby concierge. They do have a 24 hour number you can call though. Check in / check out required more thinking than a hotel and was a tad frustrating. 10am check out is ridiculous - 11am would have been early but acceptable. Also note if you book through Expedia they say you've paid all charges but whistler retreats will charge you some fee when you check in. We paid 18 bucks for 2 nights in extra feeso not a huge deal. Location of condo is perfect and having a kitchen and small balcony is great.Anonymous from Vancouver - Posted: 9/13/2016
Absolutely fantastic. We had a great time. The property was clean and spacious. The facilities were excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. Definitely will stay again.Anonymous from London - Posted: 3/25/2016
Condo was great! clean, big enough for two person or a family of 4. Close to supermarket, liquorstore and Whistler downtown. Staff was great too.Anonymous from sherbrooke - Posted: 3/16/2016
Located in village north. Close to groceries and the liquor store. It is a bit far to walk to the lift, but a shuttle bus leaves just around the corner. Has a shower, but no bath. The well equipped kitchen inexplicably had no corkscrew.Anonymous from Richmond - Posted: 3/4/2016
We were very pleased with out entire rental experience at Whistler Marketplace Lodge. The staff upon checkin were friendly and answered all my silly questions, the unit was extremely clean, well equipped and closer to things than we expected. Having secured underground parking was a stress relief since we had a rental car.
We would without a doubt - come back.Anonymous from Oshawa - Posted: 2/16/2016
Overall a very comfortable, convenient apartment and great location - I've stayed @ Market Place lodge in 2015 and now 2016 (different apartments).
Downsides: this apartment faces the Market Place car park (which in itself is not a problem) - the issue is when we have SNOW clearing machinery being run at 5:00am, 5:30am in the morning VERY VERY NOISEY and disruptive to sleep. Surely the snow clearing activities could/should be commenced around 7:00am ??
There are also times when we have 'yahoos' frequenting the car park at late night/early morning hours shouting and generally making a complete nuisance of themselves & disrupting the relative peace and quiet need for sleep.
These are the reasons I've scored the location for this apartment as 3 stars - fix the noise issues and the rating would be 5 stars from my perspective.
I would recommend Market Place Lodge accommodation to other people (in fact I already have) on condition they secure an apartment that is facing Whistler Mt and not the Market Place car park.Anonymous from Melbourne - Posted: 2/15/2016
Our stay at this marketplace property was great. The unit was well appointed and comfortable. The marketplace location is nice being close to amenities and affords a nice walk through the village to the whistler gondolas. Would stay again.Anonymous from Madison - Posted: 2/10/2016
Our vacation rental home location and facilities are decent and good value for the price we paid. The unit we rent has plenty of cooking utensils and dishes that made our home made breakfast task a breeze.
The location is great with IGA right across the court yard and we visited it a couple of times when we need some cereal, etc. With many good small restaurants just in or around the market square, we didn’t have to go far for dinners.
Minimal care provided by the property management (no daily housekeeping for the four nights’ stay) but that gives us a lots of privacy during the stay (we did not feel obligated to make up our room before heading to the hill, so we didn't mind it). But for guests who like to have someone else making your bed and tidying up your bathroom every day, you may be unhappy about it.
We did experience a bit trouble when we found out that someone else had already parked at our designated parking space in the underground parking garage after we checked in and got our key to the garage. The front desk agent told us to park at another parking space but the catch is that we MUST move our car back to our designated space before we head out to the hill the next morning, and the front desk didn’t guarantee by what time the unauthorized parked car would be gone and by then what we will need to do if the parking space was still occupied. That did add a bit stress to our first day in Whistler.
Fortunately, when we came back from dinner at around 9:30pm in the evening, the parked car was gone and we were able to move to our parking space.
A few other minor inconveniences in our rental apartment, such as all the faucet are installed reversed (on and off are opposite to what a normal faucet would be, and hot and cold water comes out randomly from the faucet even you turned on the cold or hot nub only....), but nothing really causes too much trouble.Anonymous from Kingston (Westbrook / Cataraqui - Posted: 2/8/2016
This was my second stay at this property. As on the previous occasion, the apartment was very comfortable, clean, cozy and well fitted out. On sunny winter days it is nice to have the afternoon sun streaming in. Check in has improved as the check in location is now just across the street. Staff there were very friendly and helpful and made checking in and out very easy. Very convenient to shops and a very short walk to the free shuttle bus. Only disadvantage was the sound of snow clearing machinery from 4 am on snowy nights.Anonymous from Mt Gambier - Posted: 12/9/2015
Check in staffs are very nice and helpful. Firstly we were placed to a room on the Olympic park side, and it was quite noise at day time, as we have a baby needs to sleep. We asked for a change. Room 304 is quieter and newer, and we enjoyed our stay very much. We will come back again.Anonymous - Posted: 9/3/2015
Overall I had a good experience here, it was clean, neat and tidy. Nice view of mountains.
A bit of a hike if your walking to the lifts but shuttle was on time/perfect pickup location and had no problems catching a ride. If your looking for an upper class 5star your better off at Westen but if your reasonable and don't mind a bit older Lodge for best price in Whistler this is it. Would definitely stay here again.Anonymous from Newmarket - Posted: 2/16/2015
It was nice that I was able to check in by 2pm but I think the check out time of 1000 am is ridiculously early- since most places are 11-12 pm- also- considering the business I have given you and sent some of my friends, charging extra for a late checkout when there is clearly no one coming into the room that day is even more ridiculous. Apart from that, the no charge parking is a godsend, and location fantastic. It's unfortunate that there are no deals offered for subsequent visits- since I would pick this place for all my Whistler getaways! Food for thought.Anonymous from Vancouver - Posted: 2/10/2015
We're pleased you enjoyed Whistler - thank-you for your comments and suggestions. Just a note that in order to allow an early 2pm check-in (as you enjoyed), we need to have an early check-OUT time to allow our housekeepers to clean and prepare the suites. As we've done for the past 8 years, we're pleased to offer a 10% discount to any repeat guest who books directly with us so we hope you'll choose to stay with us again soon :o)Whistler Retreats staff

Marketplace is not fancy or upscale, but for our needs it was perfect. We have been here both summer and winter and the location is great. It is within walking distance to the gondola and located across the treet from the grocery store. Since the apt has a kitchen this worked out very well as we were able to cook our own meals. It is also in the heart of the village so if you don't feel like cooking there are plenty of restaurants and bars close by. They have changed their check-in process so if you do not have a vehicle this can be awkward. You need to check in at another hotel that is some distance away. If you do not know where you are going and you are carrying luggage, this can be difficult. The booking staff and check-in staff were very courteous and professional and I'm sure alternate arrangements for check-in could be made if necessary. Overall we enjoyed our experiences at. Marketplace LodgeAnonymous - Posted: 8/4/2014
A nice close getaway from Vancouver Island. The drive along the Highway very special. Whistler is so clean and friendly, servers awesome in the eateries. Nice to see so many families enjoying strolling in the Village. The walks around the Golf Course and Lost Lake were lovely and found some good "deals" shopping in the Village. Looking forward to coming back again in the not so distant future.Anonymous from Nanaimo North - Posted: 6/14/2014
