Close to everything we needed.... Supermarket, liquor store, pharmacy, free shuttle bus , restaurants and the Main Street.
The apartment was clean, well equipped and warm.
The use of the hot tub and free parking space were very welcome.Anonymous - Posted: 2/14/2026
Had every thing we needed
Little confusing until we got the hang of the parking and entranceAnonymous - Posted: 9/24/2025
Me and my daughter rented out a one-bedroom condo in Whistler Village - everything about the apartment was perfect - location/cleanliness etc. The management company were also great - very communicative and helpful :)Anonymous - Posted: 7/30/2025
I love the location and excellent serviceAnonymous from Roberts Creek - Posted: 5/9/2025
My partner and I have been renting out units in MPL for 20 years. Many units including the one we stayed in has been updated and maintained. There might be a dirty dish to be found but with a dishwasher in place this is an easy fix. Whistler Retreats is responsive to any concerns. It is a great location, view is terrific and you can walk everywhere. You won't be disappointed!Anonymous from Peachland - Posted: 1/25/2025
great location and our little 1 bedroom home was cosy, clean and in good shape. The vacation rental management staff were very helpful.Anonymous from Parnell - Posted: 1/9/2025
Room, location, how to check in and out, almost every thing was very good. One thing which was inconvenient was one of the elevator was out of service even at the long weekend. There was only one carriage so if you have lots of suitcases it might be annoying. The refrigerator was sometimes noisy.Anonymous from Kogasaka - Posted: 7/3/2024
A cozy place right near Olympic Village, close to everything.
The place doesn't have AC, so it's kinda toasty, the fans work well at night if you open a window (they don't have screens) so bugs may get in.
All in all I would stay here again, especially in the Winter.Anonymous from Salem - Posted: 6/27/2024
clean and comfortable. has everything you need to enjoy your time. We have stayed at other units in the same place and it is nice to know that it doesn't matter which unit we stay in we don't have surprises. which is nice.Anonymous - Posted: 6/14/2024
I nailed down how my credit card number got stolen. I don't use that card often. Your company is the only place where I used that card.
Also, the place was dirty, not cleaned well.Anonymous - Posted: 5/10/2024
Very nice 1 bdr condo, well appointed and nicely decorated, close to everything, and had convenient parking. Everything was great! Kids were a bit loud outside in the playground in the evening, and the living room blinds didn't work, I think they are just pulled tight and maybe jammed in the open position. I would happily stay again!Anonymous - Posted: 4/29/2024
Fantastic location with a great view of Blackcomb, clean, spacious, excellently appointed kitchen, comfortable bed. We were very happy.Anonymous from BRADFORDVILLE - Posted: 2/19/2024

The building is in market place, great location.
No A/C in the unit. It was hot in the room for our August stay. Outside was over 30C. Two fans working 24 hrs didn't help much.
Was extremely hot for sleeping. Kitchen very well equipped.
Plenty of nice restaurants options around and store with many hot food options.
I personally don't like check in over the phone, also email with instruction from Management could be simplified.Anonymous - Posted: 8/27/2023

noisy people above us, loud playground outside our window, great location in lower village, good price, very small bathroom, clean room, unusual checkin process - we prefer a front desk, very pleasant person on the phone when we checked in with an issueAnonymous - Posted: 7/31/2022
Very clean suite handy to groceries and restaurants. Nice view. Day-bed was great to just sit and gaze at the mountains. Playground out front.Anonymous - Posted: 4/12/2022

Took a chance on a one bed room condo at the Market place. Everything work out OK for our short 2 day stay. Full size appliances in kitchen, lots of storage, as there were only 2 of us, the space was great. The table was set for 4 which would be tight, bed room was large enough, bath room as well. We had good weather so we only stayed inside to sleep. The unit does not have AC, it was warm inside not any different than our home.
We will be heading back to Whistler, next time it will be for a week. Same size will do just fine !

This was a great stay, hot tub, grocery store and pharmacy right down stairs. Steps away from the clubs. I suggest bringing your Hello Fresh if there are other guests you know. We had a wonderful dinner party and then went on a rip. Well worth the cost for the room.Anonymous - Posted: 7/20/2021
Most convenient location, with gorgeous city views and the mountains, super cozy and comfy room, good vibes and great customer service <3Anonymous - Posted: 3/10/2021
very good, but the pull out sofa bed is in desperate need of a new mattress.Anonymous - Posted: 2/21/2021
The only problem was the sofa bed, the springs are really bad, really really bad. We had to layer and layer blankets, and you could still feel them through the blankets.Anonymous from Vancouver - Posted: 2/17/2021
Wonderful experience very clean unit very helpful and friendly people the only to issues I would make was double bed to small for two people and the parking stalls to small fir most standard size vehicles but had a wonderful time will do it again in the near futureAnonymous from Port Moody - Posted: 2/9/2021
We didn’t know what to expect upon arrival, we were given instructions by email found the lodge with ease, the instructions to get in and find the parking spot were great! Right in the village and within walking

Everything was great. My only complaint is that the building tends to be noisy.Anonymous from Washington - Posted: 1/20/2020
Check-in process was very BAD. I didn't get the instruction until the afternoon of check in date. I did not know what to do and I did not have mobile service. Also, I didn't get a return call from the message I left with the agent and the voice mail.Anonymous from Bothell - Posted: 10/9/2019
Thank-you for your review. The check-in instructions are sent as soon as the online check-in contract is signed, which is why we ask guests to sign as soon as they receive it (at least 7 days prior to arrival)...Whistler Retreats staff
This suite was well appointed and great location.
There was no container for recycling - the building recycles all materials.
The Recycling room is rather dangerous. You cannot exit without having a key fob. I believe this is against fire regulations. Please check. It could be dangerous if someone became locked in e.g. lost the fob in a recycle bin and then could not get out.Anonymous from Campbell River Central - Posted: 9/12/2019
We rented this 1bdm unit for 16 days as a base to mountain bike in the park. The unit was clean, tidy and well appointed. A short walk to the lifts and very close to other key amenities and resturants etc.
It was unfortunately too hot - the pilot light in the gas fireplace emitted heat and there was no AC. Also very noisy at all hours with children's playground and Olympic plaza directly below. Extremely poor communication from Whistler Retreats - no reply to our requests to look at gas fireplace.Anonymous from East Takaka - Posted: 7/25/2019
Location was Olympic Plaza, close to everything. Views of Mountains were beautiful! Property Management were very helpful, thanks Tanya....Anonymous from Maple Ridge - Posted: 7/4/2019
Very good, but room 237 could use a little TLC,
Room 235 was OKAnonymous from Garden Bay - Posted: 4/12/2019
The condo was perfectly located close to grocery stores and the liquor store and a short walk into the main village. The bed was comfortable, kitchen well equipped and there were plenty of towels in the bathroom and storage for skis and boots. Loved the gas fireplace - it added a nice cosy element to the atmosphere. I couldn't get the TV to work in the living room but it was working in the bedroom. Overall a great place to stay.Anonymous from Orangeville South - Posted: 2/16/2019
The room was spacious, clean, and well kept. It was in a great location in the village. The underground parking was included (one stall), but beware that the stalls are quite small...our mid sized SUV was way too big for the stall.Anonymous from Langley - Posted: 9/25/2018
Everything was great! I really recommend this apartament for a family, friends or couples looking for a nice place to stay and with a great price.Anonymous from San Lorenzo De El Escorial - Posted: 9/14/2018
It was a positive experience. I think the rental company did a very thorough job explaining the procedure. I am used to hotel rental but this had advantages of being more private. Our room was very satisfactory and the location perfect. Would be nice if check in time was more flexible as even hotels sometimes you can get in early, especially going to Whistler where the travel time is quite long. Everything is in walking distance. Would I stay there again, yes I wouldAnonymous - Posted: 9/6/2018
Very clean and great location at a walking distance from all activities. Could have used AC during our stay, it was hot on the days we were there. The lack of access to free parking if you arrive too early is really annoying. A bit of flexibility on check in time would be appreciated if the unit is ready.Anonymous - Posted: 7/27/2018
Our room was facing the Whistler Olympic Plaza, looking at the stage and listening to the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra on Canada Day.
Room was very clean and spacious with full kitchen.
Tanya was so helpful. We will be returning next year. I would recommend this place to friends and family. Whistler has everything and is so much fun!Anonymous from Maple Ridge - Posted: 7/4/2018

Property is about 10 minute walk from base of blackcomb/whister gondola. Just something about the building perhaps it was the lay out and appeared to need a facelift. Felt dingy. Would have been great to have a pool. Parking is very cramped.Anonymous - Posted: 3/25/2018
All worked well and as expected. The accommodation is cozy but thoroughly sufficient. Nothing to complain about. I will come back again.Anonymous from Vancouver - Posted: 3/23/2018

Clean, quite!
5 minute to walk from the gondola lift. Close to IGA MarketplaceAnonymous from Côte-Saint-Luc East - Posted: 2/10/2018
Woke up every morning to the twinkling of multi colored holiday lights sparkling of 6-12" of Coastal powder...and snow equipment clearing off the snow. IGA 150' away, convenient for preparing dinner and brekkies in the well appointed kitchen. 100 meters to the Timmy Hortons, 130 meters to the bus stop to catch a #4. HOT tub on the third floor was a great way to relax and share slope stories with new friends.
Loved the 1 bedroom floor plan, was in studio last season.
Whistler Connection picked up and dropped off on time.
Only complaints is the 3rd floor laundromat was having the appliances swapped out....and the hallway carpeting is starting to show its age.
Can't say enough about the Marketplace shops....especially Can Ice.Anonymous from Somerville - Posted: 1/30/2018
We rented 3 units at the Marketplace Lodge #234, 235 and 343 and they were a pleasure to spend 5 nights in those lovely condos. The location was perfect, the condos were upgraded/updated to our expectations and they all had great amenities, appliances, nice TVs, new tile floors and carpets and everything was in working order. We were very please to rent them from some very good owners who took the effort to make our stay very enjoyable and we look forward to returning next year when the snow starts falling!Anonymous from Palos Verdes Peninsula - Posted: 1/3/2018
Amazing! From the comforts of the bed, to the color scheme of the room, to the location (during the Ironman race), everything was perfect!! The room was great. Had everything we needed and was neat and clean. The staff at Whistler Retreats made our stay a breeze.Anonymous from St Kilda East - Posted: 8/14/2017
We were disappointed by the fact that the condo was in a strip mall, not a lodge at all. It was very noisy with the playground right outside our window. Kids were literally screaming until 10:30 pm, then drunk people would play on the playground waking you up at 2:00 am. Then the kids screaming again would start at 7 am. There was no AC, so we had to have the windows open. We have kids, so we like and understand kids, but it was REALLY loud. The actual condo was nice, but the location was awful.Anonymous from Albany - Posted: 7/23/2017

Great place for two adults on ski vacation. Close to bars and restaurants. We walked to the Whistler Village gondola and took the free shuttle, both options were fairly easy. The walk would be long for someone who can't carry skis for 10 mins straight. Dinner recommdarions by staff were spot on!Anonymous - Posted: 1/4/2017

Thank-you for the feedback. Please note that the guest contacted us to report a plugged sink. Maintenance was called and contacted the guest within less than 1 hour. The male guest Maintenance spoke to admitted they may have plugged it themselves. As it was after-hours, the guest was asked if maintenance could come by the following morning to resolve the issue - the guest was fine with that. Food had been put down the sink drain, which had to be plunged and was cleared by Maintenance less than 24hrs after the call.Whistler Retreats staff
I came to a ski competition with three teenage boys and we had a great time at the Market Place Lodge. The room was clean with nice simple decor. It had a full kitchen which surprised me, cause i thought it was just a microwave for cooking. Fully equipped with all my kitchen needs. the bed was very comfy, not sure about the hide a bed cause i didn't sleep on it. Our room overlooked the olympic plaza which was very noisy in the daytime with a kids playground and lots of activity. by 9pm it was quiet and no one around. The boys and myself really enjoyed the convenience of being right in town. We had a couple of visitors who were very impressed with our room and even said they would stay there next time. I liked that you couldn't get in without the special key. Felt safe. Great locked underground parking. Checking in wasn't a hassle at all, although you have to check in across the parking lot. Fast, efficient staff. Would have been nice to have a change of towels in our 5 night stay. Hot tub on the roof. All in all it was very good accommodation for the price.Anonymous - Posted: 4/7/2016
We are very happy with our stay at Marketplace Lodge unit 235. The condo was exactly as advertised as far as cleanliness and amenities. An added bonus was the view of the Olympic Plaza and the mountains, however if the sound of kids having fun bothers you then you should find a place facing the other side. Another feature we liked was the large ski closet in the unit itself, unlike a lot of places where you must put your skis in a small locker in the basement.
Marketplace Lodge itself has everything you need such as a bank, liquor store, pharmacy, liquor store, grocery store, liquor store, restaurants, liquor store, and a medical centre.
The shuttle bus to the lifts was very convenient and they ran often.Anonymous from Belleville East - Posted: 4/7/2016

Hello, My son Julian and I had an amazing stay. The location of our accommodations was perfect off the Olympic plaza. Kids activities were at our front door as well as shopping and amenities. We took the nearby shuttle to the gondolas and walked back each day for some apres ski adventures. The unit was complete and comfortable. the only thing that would have helped more was a trolly for our luggage, but we managed just the same. Staff at Le Chamois where checked in and out were more than helpful and friendly. All in all, we would stay at the Market place Lodge again.
Thanks for a great trip and stay.

Plenty of room, good heating, comfy bed, great location, reasonably priced. You get quite a lot for your money. Very happy.
Will stay here again no worries.Anonymous from Waroona - Posted: 3/3/2015
Two brothers had a great ski vacation experience at a great price. The unit was clean with a view over Olympic Park. Everything you need is very close (groceries, liquor store, bus stop), what else do you need? The unit lacked a washer dryer, but the common laundry facilities worked. It was great to have a hot tub to soothe the body after a day of skiing.
Some of exterior stairs (and railings) need maintenance, and the spa area could be kept a bit cleaner, but overall it was a great value and we would stay here again.
We received prompt and courteous service from the rental management personnel, including some late night check-in assistance. Kudos!Anonymous from Duluth - Posted: 2/23/2015
Stayed in the marketplace lodge for two weeks in early Jan 2015, and had a great stay. It's in a very convenient location for groceries and essentials, close to Brew House, and about 10 minutes up to the lifts.Anonymous from West Ryde - Posted: 2/4/2015
had a great time here the only set back is that the kitchen was out of date and space in kitchen way to small but overall everything else was great will come back again.Anonymous from Seattle - Posted: 1/27/2015
The room was everything we needed and more. The first room/closet was designed for storing ski gear. We had 3 people staying in the room, so getting the gear out of the walking path was amazing. Checking in was a breeze. Yes it isn't on site, but it gave us a chance to drive around Whistler and get accustom to the area. The room was in good working condition and supplied enough cleaning supplies to make sure our room was tidy each night after cooking dinner. I've seen some reviews on its distance from the gondola (which might be the furthest building from the gondola in the village,) but as 22-25 year old guys on a study vacation, walking was long overdue. I could see how this would be an issue if you didn't utilize the free shuttle that drops you off with less mobile individuals. The grocery store and beverage store were almost out your back door. Even with the commercial area right behind you, you would never know since our room overlooked the Olympic medal ceremony site and ice-rink. We did have a little fun checking out of the building after locking our keys in the room, as instructed by management. The elevator works only with a key so when we got in the elevator after leaving our keys in the room, we could not go to the garage (basement) and only allowed us to the main floor (which doesn't get you to the basement.) We had to hitch a ride back in with a couple of late night party go-ers to get back to the room and devise a plan. This whole ordeal could be eliminated with plastic swipe cards that deactivated upon completion of stay rather than actual keys. However, this is a perfect room for a ski vacation/get-away to whistler without paying absurd prices. Recommend it highly to similar traveling groups.Anonymous from West Palm Beach - Posted: 1/1/2015
We stayed in Market Lodge #235 for a weekend in November. The location is absolutely perfect, it is right in the heart of the village and this suite had a view of the Olympic Rings. It is next to a large playground which can cause a little noise but nothing that bothered us at all. The suite was nice, clean and simple. The bed was comfortable. The place is slightly dated but other than a less than stellar esthetic it didn't impact the trip. We were frustrated when we arrived to check-in to find that check-in is at a separate location, which we had to drive to. To be fair though it was explained on the reservation confirmation we just didn't read it thoroughly. Also, during the stay the hot tub wasn't working which was a disappointment and we found out when heading down in our bathing suits.
We would definitely book here again as the cost is reasonable, the suite is comfortable and it is walking distance to everything in the village.Anonymous from Abbotsford - Posted: 11/17/2014

Could not locate anyone at the Lodge front desk. Closed, boarded up and deserted. Had to take other accommodations. Note: I travelled for the past 18 years of my working career and not once was a facility front desk shut.Anonymous from St Albert - Posted: 9/7/2014
Per the check-in instructions sent prior to arrival, check-in for Whistler Retreats guests is at Le Chamois Hotel as there is no front desk at Marketplace Lodge. All units are privately owned and managed by various property managers so guests who stay at Marketplace Lodge check in at other locations. This information is included in the booking policies and sent (along with driving directions and specific check-in instructions) with the guest's final confirmation.Whistler Retreats staff
WE had a six day stay at Marketplace Lodge. This was our third visit to Whistler. Marketplace Lodge is very conveniently located and it meant we only moved our car to visit the lakes, as everything else was in walking distance. The unit was well kitted out and in good condition but the hallways and stairs look like they need some maintenance. The only real negative was that although there was a full size laundry there was no washing machine provided and we had to visit friends in another complex to do our washing.Anonymous from Maroochydore - Posted: 8/3/2014
Location is awesome! Just keeping our room tidy during vacation is not.Anonymous from San Mateo - Posted: 7/5/2014
