Comfortable, clean and well equipped in a great location.
When it comes to checking in,this was difficult. The first people we came in contact with had experienced the same problems as we had trying to find and access our unit.
A faceless, voice only contact system was not conducive to a happy seamless check in process.Anonymous from Wynyard - Posted: 2/17/2026
I have stayed in this complex many times over the last few decades. While it certainly shows its age in some minor regards, appliances and furniture are up to date, it’s still very clean and comfortable, great location and exceptional value for Whistler.Anonymous - Posted: 4/7/2025
We have stayed in these Marketplace Lodge units over the past 20 years and have sampled many of them. They are sometimes a bit run down but they are clean, functional (if you don't count the dresser drawers falling out but even then you can make them work) and we always prefer these units to the others we have stayed at. You can walk everywhere in minutes and the view over Olympic park to the mountains is breathtaking. We will be there again next year. I hate to give it such a good rating - it will be harder for us to book in terms of availability!Anonymous from Peachland - Posted: 3/1/2025
Stayed 4 nights, did some shopping, skiing and eating. Very comfortable accommodation.Anonymous - Posted: 2/25/2025
This is a really nice updated unit and overall a nice place to stay. We love the location of Marketplace Lodge with it's proximity to Olympic plaza activities and groceries etc. We would book this unit again for sure!Anonymous from Port Moody - Posted: 1/18/2025
Perfect location near the Olympic rings. Easy check in and check out. Clean and well stockedAnonymous - Posted: 10/29/2024
The free upgrade to a deluxe one-bedroom was a wonderful surprise and appreciated. Our family has stayed at the Marketplace Lodge in the past and have always been satisfied with our accomodation.Thx.Anonymous from Victoria - Posted: 10/15/2024
We had a wonderful time in our updated 1 bedroom suite. As we walked through the door for the first time, the cushions, the layout were very welcoming.
The kitchen was well stocked. Lighter blankets for the warmer weather were welcome. We could spread out and enjoy the beauty of Whistler.Anonymous from Vancouver - Posted: 9/18/2024

Great affordable apartment. My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The apartment was very clean. Check in was simple.
Unfortunately the air conditioner was very loud, making a lot of crackling and popping noises, waking my wife and I up during the night. The bathroom sink drains extremely slow. Otherwise great place to stay.
Staff were also very accommodating with giving us a slightly later check out time as our shuttle was picking us up after regular check out.Anonymous from Frankford - Posted: 6/25/2024
Everything available to cook in the lodge and indoor parking included. Grocery next door. Perfect homebase for a stay in Whistler, hikes all around, some a short drive away.Anonymous - Posted: 6/20/2024

My experience was great! We really enjoied to be on holiday there. The room was well equipped and clean, the view was fantastic. Price was also great.Anonymous - Posted: 10/2/2023
This condo is fresh, clean, comfortable and well located to just about everything. The kitchen is equipped decently. The bedroom is a little crowded with furniture because they stuff a fold out bed chair on the one side. Two people will be more comfortable than a whole family but that could just be our personal preference - we like space. The one star off is because of the building not the condo unit. The building is a little dated/wonky. Tip: Make sure you carry the fob everywhere with you! It's very easy to get locked out of some place. Don't plan to do laundry there. One elevator was out of service. Two washers and dryers there for the whole building. A nice, inexpensive addition to the condo might be a rolling laundry basket for guest use.Anonymous from West Chester - Posted: 7/11/2023
Great locationAnonymous - Posted: 4/20/2023
The location is good. About 10 mins walk to the gondola. The unit was clean and had everything we needed. However, the few outlets didn't work and that should have been fixed, especially the one for a microwave that the staffs were aware of it.Anonymous from Grantham - Posted: 3/3/2023
Excellent location. The unit had everything we needed for our weeklong stay in Whistler.
Would definitely stay here again.Anonymous - Posted: 10/8/2022
Because of construction, the original assigned parking space was too small for most cars. However, the property manager found us another spot in the building and we were happy.Anonymous from Vancouver - Posted: 9/27/2022
overall we were very pleased with the accommodations. we had an issue with parking which was quickly rectified. staff were very helpful. room was very clean. great location!! great amenities for kidsAnonymous - Posted: 9/24/2022
Very clean and fairly modern. Fully equipped kitchen (but no lids for the pans!!). Bedding was nice. Price was high compared to larger suites I've stayed in closer to the village center. I didn't realize it was a condo as opposed to a hotel, so the check-in and check-out process was a little convoluted but overall it was nice. The only reason I would not stay k here again was because of the distance to the ski lifts, which will not be a problem for everyone.Anonymous - Posted: 9/23/2022
Great location in the village. It was easy to store bikes safely in underground garage. Nice hot tub in the top floor.Anonymous - Posted: 7/12/2022
When we arrived the Maintenance workers were painting the outside of our Patio and all the windows were covered in plastic and couldn’t see out! Finally at 6pm they finally finished and removed the plastic off all the windows. We went out on the Patio and it was really dirty. But sat in our own chairs.
Also the parking stall we were assigned, was so tight, a huge Jeep was parked beside us and was partly in our Stall. Left a note on their window and they finally moved over.
Our room was modern and so nice, very impressed! The next couple of days we really enjoyed the view of the Olympic Village and Gorgeous Mountains!
Would return to this room 227!
Thank You Tanya for all your assistance! Love Whistler!Anonymous from Maple Ridge - Posted: 7/5/2022
We stayed, a family of 3 adults, for 10 days in apartment #227. We travelled from the UK and caught the coach from Vancouver Airport to Whistler. The Apartment block is positioned nicely in the village, the ski lift is approx 10 mins easy walk (no buses running when we were there), this was fine and allowed for a few "beer stops" after a days ski-ing!. Overall was really happy with location, all shops / restaurants were within easy walk.
The apartment itself wasn't large but was big enough for us, however I don't think I would describe it as "delux", it seemed very standard to me but was comfortable.
I would have liked the older style TV's replaced with smart ones so we could access Netflix etc and I was a bit disappointed at the large of any welcoming food pack, yes there was some coffee but that was it.
All in al the apartment served it's purpose and the costs were acceptable, if I was returning to Whistler I would consider rebooking.Anonymous from Pailton, Warwickshire - Posted: 4/11/2022
Great price, beautiful suite, and perfect location.Anonymous from Qualicum Beach - Posted: 10/15/2021
Arrived to find housekeeping forgot to sanitize our suite but prompt customer service was provided and we were offered a free upgrade immediately by Tanya and she apologized for the inconvenience.Anonymous - Posted: 9/20/2021
Was exactly what we needed! there was a place to lock our bikes in front of the parking is underground parking so if you have a thule you should measure. I believe the height was 7ft. we unloaded ours and carried it under the parking gate.Anonymous - Posted: 9/12/2021
Almost perfect. The location was great ... easy short walk to everything. The unit was clean and cozy. Underground parking was a bit tight but manageable. The done side was that the bathroom sink would not drain. we made do as our stay was short and I was not wasting anytime dealing with this issue. a four star experience for us.Anonymous - Posted: 9/6/2021
The room is really cozy. Relaxing feel, organized and clean. Above all the lady i talked to on the phone is very nice and she gave us a complimentary for our special vacation. Thank youAnonymous from The Pas - Posted: 9/5/2021

3rd year in a row we have stayed at market place lodge and was fantastic as usual. Graet value for moneyAnonymous from Bateau Bay - Posted: 9/15/2019
My wife and I stayed at Marketplace Lodge for four nights. From the time we arrived to the time we left it was a great stay. The unit was fairly well appointed for our needs as we like to cook some meals when we travel.
Since this was our first trip to Whistler, the location of our unit was ideal as it overlooked Olympic Plaza. A short stroll and we were in the middle of everything, restaurants, shops, cinema, gorgeous garden landscaping, and several day-long hiking trails.
Given the original description of Marketplace Lodge and the unit, what we encountered was precisely what we were expecting.
The detailed instructions to check-in and check-out were mailed to us with plenty of time and they were very easy to follow.
We would not hesitate in staying at Marketplace Lodge again or recommend it to others.

Just what we needed for two days of downhill biking.Anonymous from Franklin - Posted: 7/20/2019
The Lodge is well equipped, offers a modern feeling and was very clean. There is mich room for 2 persons and die supermarket is just one minute away. To the city you walk 5 minutes and to the bike park less than 10. During our stay there was a renovation on floor in progress, but the painters had been quiet and friendly, so it was no problem at all.Anonymous from Bielefeld - Posted: 7/14/2019
We reserved our room at Marketplace Lodge based on price, and the fact that it's location would allow us to walk to the mountain and Village, and reduce the cost of our trip by purchasing groceries and budget-friendly dining options found in Whistler's Marketplace.
We were also excited to make use of the Lodge's covered outdoor hot tub, to getting fresh air and views, while not getting rained on. There was some miscommunication between the central booking agency Resort Reservation Whistler, and the accommodation's management company Whistler Retreats and ourselves about whether any sort of storage for our luggage would be possible on our check-out date. This was a really critical detail for us, since the Lodge does not have a front desk or any on-site staff at all to help with such a request. We were encouraged to book ski tickets for that day, and a shuttle down to Vancouver for after skiing, and that we would need to confirm that luggage storage was available within 48 hours of our arrival. At that late date, however, we were informed that no storage would be available, making the last day's lift tickets unusable (and our last night's accommodation unnecessary) since we could not abandon our luggage outdoors in order to head up the mountain, and we could not locate any alternate storage. After some back and forth by email with the staff at Whistler Retreats, I received a phone call from a company rep politely assuring me that they would find a solution to this stressful problem, and for that I am truly thankful. On the day we were due to arrive, I received another phone call offering a free upgrade to a much more spacious and well appointed room than we had reserved, with breathtaking views of both mountains. This made our stay a terrifically memorable experience, allowing us to host guests at home with our own food, drinks and music rather than having to run up a bill in a noisy pub. Great service-save! Well Done! Thanks!Anonymous from Markham Central - Posted: 4/25/2019
All in all our experience was great! Perfect accommodation in regards to size and what we needed for our stay. It was about a 10 minute walk to the base of the gondola, and after 7 days of walking back and forth with ski boots on got very tiring. Great property management.Anonymous from Belding - Posted: 3/24/2019
This property was exactly as advertised. We were a little worried with the distance between us and the gondola, but the free shuttle which was quite literally around the corner, was perfect. The distance from the hill also made it much more quiet, and you still had beautiful view of both mountains.
The place looked exactly as the pictures shown, it was very clean and they provided everything needed in order to live happily here for the week.
One item was broken, which was the toaster; but it wasn't a big deal as theres a perfectly good working stove.
There were two pull out couches, which were reasonably comfortable. They are a little stiff, but if you like stiffer beds it'll be perfect.
Theres a balcony which was clean and had 2 chairs, it had a nice view of the sliding area by the skating rink, and you can see both Blackcomb and Whistler, including the Peak to Peak. Nice spot for coffee in the morning.
Barely any communication with the property management, except for during checkin, but they responded very quickly to any concern we had at checkin.
Overall, awesome. 10/10 would absolutely stay here again next time we come to Whistler.Anonymous from London (West Huron Heights / Car - Posted: 3/4/2019
Condo was clean and in great shape. The Walk to the lifts was 5-10 minutes in regular shoes. I would definitely stay at this place again.Anonymous from Sun Prairie - Posted: 2/27/2019
The Property itself was nicely renovated, in a good location for those that wish to cook their on meals, IGA, coffee shop, drug store and alcohol stores were only 200 meters away.
Negatives, the bathroom sink was blocked from someone’s beard that had been shaven and not cleaned out, you have to change the bed lining yourself, (clean linen left in the cupboard) its located directly above the post office so a couple of mornings a week you would be woken to the sounds of mail being delivered via metal trolleys around 6 am in the morning.
Overall a great back drop view of the mountains, besides the sink, it was clean and comfortable and as warm as you wanted the unit to be and everything worked as expected.

We had a wonderful stay at unit 227. Other than being confused about how to get in, we appreciated the FOB system, the convenient location, view, amenities and the size. There were three of us - our daughter slept on the couch pull out bed. Because of the type of couch, she only used the single instead of the entire couch. Great system.
The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware. Glad that there was one packet of coffee for my husband.
The only drawback was when folks wandered, yelling through the plaza after midnight through the wee hours.
Having various types of restaurants within walking distance was nice. And the shuttle to the gondola transit area was handy.
All in all, worth the cost for us for a short Whistler visit!Anonymous from Vancouver - Posted: 3/30/2018
Pretty close to perfect with few exceptions- only 1 teaspoon in drawer. I reported & Ashley said she’d Send more but didn’t. I didn’t want to be charged afterward for repacemement on my credit card. A few little things needed repair but I reported them. Only downside really was snow plows coming @ 5 am dailyAnonymous from PENETANG - Posted: 2/3/2018
My husband and I have been coming to the Whistler area since our daughter moved there in 2000. Even though we do stay with her, we always love having our time in Whistler. We've stayed in this complex before and have always loved it. As usual this was a great time. Room is clean, comfy bed. Nice fireplace. No complaints.Anonymous from Kenora Region (Keewatin) - Posted: 10/7/2017
We really enjoyed our stay in Whistler in this condo, as it is situated very near the center and was a comfortable place to stayAnonymous from Horw - Posted: 10/5/2017
Checking in was super easy - we arrived during business hours so we just popped into the office to pick up our fob. Entry to the door is by key code - it was nice to not have to worry about carrying a key card :)
The unit overlooked the village (playground and Olympic plaza) which was both nice but it was pretty loud at night - we happen to be in town when they had shows on at the Olympic plaza stage for 2 out of 3 nights. Having said this, we weren't surprised and the windows were surprisingly effective at dampening the noise.
The unit itself was great. Very well appointed. There were lots of dishes and cutlery as well as extra towels and bedding/pillows. There is minimal counter space in the kitchen so it would probably be challenging to prepare a full meal. But a perfect setup for heating up prepared foods or putting together a simple meal.
Overall, loved the location and ease of check-in/check-out. Free parking in Whistler is rare (and expensive) in hotels so it added lots of value to have free onsite parking. Would definitely stay here again if coming to whistler when not skiing/boarding. During the winter season, I would likely choose a location closer to the lifts to avoid having to carry gear through the village.Anonymous from North Vancouver South Central - Posted: 9/3/2017

The property was so run down, outdated and dirty that my family would not even sit on the couch. Maintenance was poor. I ended up renting at another location. In addition the property management company was very dismissive about the property's condition. Never have been treated with such indifference. Would never rent here again!!!Anonymous from San Juan - Posted: 1/10/2017

It's a one bedroom suit, super cozy and set up to sleep up to 5 people. The kitchen is well supplied as are the linens. It is an older building that is loosing some of it's right angles, but if you don't mind walking up hill or down hill in an apartment, it is a great place for the price you pay.Anonymous - Posted: 9/13/2016

The room we stayed in, room 227, was great - clean, great location overlooking the Olympic Plaza, queen bed was good, sofa bed was in good shape, massage shower head was working, the Bosch dishwasher was really quiet. The only thing not working was the hoodfan above the stove. The blower fan can't rotate bec. it's getting stuck by the carbon filter.Anonymous from Surrey - Posted: 8/17/2015
Always enjoy Marketplace. Ended up changing our travel plan and arrived early, was able to check in early. Our experience with Whistler retreats has always been accommodating when possible. Only criticism is too much furniture for such a small location, but could be useful for a family I suppose.Anonymous from Olympia - Posted: 5/5/2015

Marketplace lodge is an affordable well located place to stay. My room was spacious, clean and cozy. Large balcony with gorgeous view of olympic plaza ice rink and Blackcom mountain. Only complainments would be the walk distance to the lifts (around 15 minutes), the walk is through the village so it is not that bad, there was a full kitchen but no pans to cook... The laundry room was creepy and so far from my room. Overrall I would say that my stay was great and minor problems didn't disturb at all.Anonymous from Vancouver - Posted: 1/20/2015

We also enjoyed the quietness of the building and also relaxing in the hot tub in the evening. I will recommend this suite to my friends.Anonymous from White Rock - Posted: 8/31/2014
Very Good, but very noisy neighbors.Anonymous from Diego Martin - Posted: 7/31/2014
Location is mostly nice. It can get a little loud with the kids playground right outside the balcony. But seeing and hearing the symphony was a nice surprise. So it's not all bad noise. Place is clean and basic. Wish they would get rid of one chair/couch for more floor space. Wish there was a washer dryer. Overall great place for the price.Anonymous - Posted: 7/13/2014
