We loved the location and property. It was especially great being close to ice skating and sledding/playground with kids. I will note for light sleepers, the snow plow is very noisy at 5am if they are clearing the parking lot- bring ear plugs. Also, we called management because of a leaky dishwasher and they didn't really take our report seriously (even though they noted other people had problems recently too). This resulted in us hand washing all our dishes because they didn't send the maintenance they said they would. That was our biggest disappointment and hassle.Anonymous from Gig Harbor - Posted: 3/5/2026
Overall a great experience. Location and facilities great. Some minor repairs should be undertaken to reduce further future problems. Three doors have dropped hinges causing doors to not shut smoothly and have missing screws in door hinges. Some cups and glasses have chips and should be replaced. The dehumidifier tripped the circuit breaker so was only used once.Anonymous from Cashmere Hills - Posted: 4/20/2025
Everything was great! Late check-out request was ultimately accepted which was a relief. It would be great to provide a space for renters finishing up their rental and catching a bus later on in the day for them to store their luggage safely while they wait for the bus in the village. Otherwise, the only thing missing was utensils, plates and general dining equipment. We had so little plates and utensils that we had to start the dishwasher every day even if it wasn't full. Finally, it was super hot and dry in the apartment even though we didn't fix the heat that way, so we regularly had to keep windows cracked open to have some colder air circulate.Anonymous from Montreal - Posted: 3/19/2024
We booked this suite last minute and we were not disappointed. It was more than we expected. The check in was pretty easy (had a little issue at first with the elevator but we were warned about it. It’s just a timing issue). The condo association is very quick to respond to questions and get issues resolved. The condo was exactly as described and it’s right in the heart of Whistler Marketplace (village). It was clean, spacious and very quiet. Lots of shopping, attractions and dining options. I would totally recommend this suite and I would come back.Anonymous - Posted: 8/20/2023
Appreciated my experience at this place
ThanksAnonymous - Posted: 4/10/2023
Located in the Market Place where everything you need is located: groceries, restaurants, liquor store, pharmacy, medical centre, shops, 2 bus stops etc. Basic functional condo. Hot tub on third floor. Surprisingly quiet. At point where some furnishings need TLC. Tight for 4 adults.Anonymous from L'Orignal - Posted: 3/6/2023
Good secure building. Hard bunk beds. Pullout sofa not great to sleep on. This unit is above the liquor store, so it was noisy, but not too bad. The unit was clean with lots of towels. No compost bags, but other garbage bags plus dish soap and dishwasher tablets were supplied. This location was very handy for food shopping and kids play area. It as clean, but basic accommodation.Anonymous - Posted: 4/23/2022
Overall a very good place and we were very happy with our stay. However, the bus strike forced a long walk to the lifts. Also, the instructions to get buzzed in were not clear, very confusing, and the desk person was not able to help. We spent nearly 30 minutes talking to the desk person on how to get in, almost to the point of yelling at him. Not sure why he couldn't just buzz us in while we were on the telephone with him...why must we use the intercom...clearly this desk person was remote and had no familiarity with the intercom systm or even what it looked like. The desk person tried to be helpful but it looks like it was poor training on your part (and poor instructions) that led to this issue. After a 7 hour trip to Whistler, we would like to get into the unit easily.Anonymous from Scarborough - Posted: 2/27/2022
Everything was according to my expectations! Would be back again!!!Anonymous - Posted: 9/21/2021
The suite was very clean, tidy and accomodating. Enjoyed everything about it and have plans to rent again in the near future.Anonymous from Vancouver - Posted: 9/9/2021
Very easy to organise and no issues with getting to the accommodation or getting keys. Short walk to the slopes but left gear at rental shop so no issues with the shirt walk.Anonymous from Leeds - Posted: 4/2/2020
This is our second year staying at Marketplace lodge. #202 is slightly (or feels slightly) smaller than 201, but it made a great home base during a week of skiing and fun.
The room was perfectly clean and ready to go when we arrived, and is stocked with a waffle maker, toaster, kettle, and the usual kitchen appliances. We ended up eating in the room about half of the time, and everthing went great.
Free shuttle to the slopes is just a few flights of steps down - very convenient.
We'll likely stay here again next year.Anonymous from Bellevue - Posted: 2/23/2020
I have used this for workers on our jobs in the past and the only complaint is that it is designed for a family with kids as opposed to a place for 4 adult males to reside in for a week and a half. The Bunk beds do not work well for grown men. Otherwise it was excellent!Anonymous from Langley Township North - Posted: 5/17/2019
Cozy place. The location can’t be beat.Anonymous from Portland - Posted: 4/3/2019
Unfortunately the worst place we have stayed at in Whistler. After 2 weeks stay, there was no complimentary mid stay clean or be provided a vacuum cleaner to clean.
Utensils and crockery missing.
The shower basin had mold on the silicon.Anonymous from Vermont - Posted: 3/25/2019
Really good week, the Marketplace Lodge is in a great location and offered decent value during VERY high season over NY. Clean and well equipped with great communication from the Whistler Retreats team.Anonymous from Llandow/Ewenny ED - Posted: 1/7/2019
Tanya from Whistler Retreats was exceptional - offering us early check in to save us sitting in the cold with bags. Although a little dated, the apartment was clean, comfy and warm, den was tiny but everything was there and we stayed comfortably. Suited us well even with ski gear. Great to have washer/dryer and room to hang and store ski gear. Thank youAnonymous from Anaheim - Posted: 1/2/2019
The condo was in adequate condition; a little dated but in satisfactory condition and comfortable(bunks a little short and crammed into a small room. The entry is a little complicated the first time and parking a little tight for our large vehicle. It would have be nice to have some leeway to park and ski sfter checkout for the final day. Shuttle was very convenient and mall had necessary stores which was convenient. Issue was there was a shortage of dishes, cutlery and other items in the kitchen which necessitated turning on dishwasher after each meal, even breakfast. Washing machine and dryer were convenient but needed to bring/buy own detergent. For the price which was high given season, things could have been a little better for the small convenience items; shoe string despite big price.Anonymous from Thornhill West - Posted: 2/26/2018
After an annoying check in, we were pleasantly surprised with the apartment. Lots of space, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen. Right in the heart of Whistler. Can walk to everything. We went in summer. Very hot. No Central AC. But they provided a portable AC and fans. So we did OK. Was a bit noisy at night due to a bunch of skateboarders screaming and hollering.
But all in all a pleasant stay.Anonymous - Posted: 9/8/2017
airport car hire and 4000km tour studied earlier touching vancouver island, whistler, banff and and vancouver before departing for italy. The main goal of the holiday: hiking in the natural parks looking for wildlife and natureAnonymous from Napoli - Posted: 9/7/2017
Great condo -silent very spacious.Anonymous from Calgary (Rundle / Whitehorn / Mo - Posted: 7/25/2017
The building itself was ok, a lot of construction going on. Our unit needed serious updating, no baseboard trim, outlets exposed (not ok with little kids, fire hazard), it needed direction on how to use the cable and had a smell of cigarettes (for a non smoking room). Aside from all that I loved the location, close to the grocery store, a nice walk to the gondola and close to the kids play structure.Anonymous from Seattle - Posted: 5/20/2017
Many repairs needed in the unit.
Would have appreciated that Whistler Retreats tries to talk to the neighbors instead of telling us to call the police when they were having partys in the middle of the night.Anonymous from Rock Forest - Posted: 3/6/2017
The accomodation and location was what you would expect for the price. It can be noisy though (snow clearing around marketplace often starts at 5am) and the building is managed by multiple companies so if you have issues with noisy neighbours ita often up to you to call police as opposed to having the accomodation provider deal with itAnonymous - Posted: 2/1/2017
I have stayed at MarketPlace Lodge before and enjoyed it. This stay was ok but both nights I had to deal with a lot of noise from suite above after 'curfew'. I did talk to security but not much help.Anonymous from Vancouver (Central Kitsilano) - Posted: 1/30/2017
Family of five, two kids in the den, parents in the double room, one on the sofa. Clean condo but showing signs of its age, kitchen appliances need upgrading. Good size Bunk beds in the den prevent the door closing, very noisy fridge noticable at night.
Very warm condo in winter, gas fire works well and also individual heating in each room. Washing machine and dryer are new models and work well, but take up space which would have been useful for storage.
Ten minutes walk to ski lifts and village square, and very close to ice skating and many shops and cafes / bars. Also easy access to Blackcombe which is ten minutes walk too.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, the condo is small but cosy and met our needs. Not much storage room if you travel with a lot of luggage, but the balcony is handy for empty suitcases ans ski gear.
Wifi internet access is good, Television and phone work OK, hot tub upstairs on third floor is great and access to all floors via lift works well.

Check in (late night) was a breeze. Check out was a breeze. I've stayed at MPL a lot and the room was just as expected.
The only issues: this was right next to the stairs and there were a lot of late night drunken noises.Anonymous - Posted: 10/11/2016
clean apartment, good location.
although it's a big apartment it doesnt have a sufficient layout of the rooms.Anonymous from Rakek - Posted: 8/23/2016
Liked my stay here. I would go back again.Anonymous - Posted: 5/27/2016
1) the bathroom sink in the en suite is very slow to drain, and the toilet seat is loose.
2) there has been a repair/patch on the back of the door, but it hasn’t been painted. Looks shabby..
3) the door does not close in the second “bedroom/den” with the bunk beds. Can you call it a “room” if it doesn’t have a DOOR?
It was not correct to advertise this as a “1 BR + Den” unit because the “den” didn’t have a door that closed... Disappointing.
Anonymous from Calgary - Posted: 3/24/2016
The room was exactly as expected, nice clean ready to go. great location close to stores restaurants etc. Only annoying thing was door into bunkbed room doesn't close as bunk beds are in the way. Other than that minor thing everything else was awesome. Thanks Whistler retreats, your staff was wonderful!Anonymous from Salt Lake City - Posted: 3/16/2016
Good location, next to the supermarket and bus stop, 10min walk to the lifts.Anonymous - Posted: 2/24/2016
Close to necesities, but far enough away from the center of the village that it was quiet. Steps away from the bus stop. Lacked a few kitchen essentials but furnishings were nice (except for the table with the Brocken leg). We had a great time in this condo. Plenty of room for four adults.Anonymous from Burien - Posted: 12/17/2015
SatisffiedAnonymous from Los Colomos - Posted: 4/28/2015
The location (in the main village) was good and the property was clean, with two bathrooms, a kitchen and a washer-dryer, but the space was a bit cramped. Checking in was a nuisance because we had to drive to a different hotel to get the keys and barely arrived before the reception desk closed. Pretty good value for the money, though.Anonymous from Olympia - Posted: 4/8/2015
This condo was nothing fancy but it was clean and got the job done. Located right near a shuttle bus stop, the playground and the grocery store. We had our kids with us so the suite worked well.Anonymous from London - Posted: 3/9/2015
