The location is great for skiers. The unit is old and the fireplace wasn't functional. They provided a tiny, fake, electric fireplace that provided no warmth. The parking pass was missing. I was told to look in the welcome packet, which was also missing. The showerhead didn't have enough pressure and whistled loudly when showering. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils etc. Overall, I think the unit needs some attention.Anonymous from Gateway - Posted: 2/22/2026
Weird smell coming from the cupboard but otherwise everything was great for our 10 days vacation in Whistler. We would definatly rent again.Anonymous - Posted: 8/13/2025
We stayed in creekside at The lake placid apartments and they were absolutely amazing. They had everything in them you could imagine. Even a laundry room. Hot pool and a sauna. Will definitely be back to stay here again. Everything was so easy from booking to gaining entrance into the building and apartment. I was so impressed with everything.Anonymous from warrenpoint - Posted: 5/18/2025

Really enjoyed this place. Close to the lift. Well equipped and clean. Not big enough for more than 2 adults. The hot tub and pool were welcome although the tub was often busy. Would book againAnonymous from Bristol - Posted: 1/25/2025
I liked the room and the space for a good price. Closer to the lift then the parking lot so very convenient.Anonymous from Tacoma - Posted: 12/2/2024
Our check in was very simple also lots of parking underground with easy elevator access to suit. The suit was lovely, clean and everything you need to cook. We loved the outdoor barbecue, hot tub and swimming pool, and sauna! Lots of chairs to soak up the sun We defintely will be back.Anonymous from Crofton - Posted: 6/22/2024
Great location - steps to Creekside gondola, rentals, supplies and restaurants. Lake Placid is an older lodge, specific apartment quite small, not updated with some maintenance issues.Anonymous from Lowell - Posted: 3/25/2024
Great location, however pots and pans were dented, old and challenging to use. There was no bathtub plug and despite calling attention to this, it was not attended to.Anonymous from Peterborough - Posted: 2/4/2024
Have been staying in the LPL complex in various suites since the late 1990's as the location, accommodation and amenities are unbeatable. Wished we would have bought a 2-3 bedroom unit then!Anonymous - Posted: 1/16/2024
Staying @ #121 @ Lake Place was truly enjoyable.
The apartment was super clean and tidy.
The only remark is that kitchenware (like frying pans) should be replaced because it's aged and possibly not safe for use.
Looking forward to coming again.Anonymous from Burnaby - Posted: 12/8/2023
I enjoyed Lake Placid very much. Not usually like ground floor but felt very safe and it was quiet and respectful throughout the facility.
Pool and hot tub were enjoyed every day and we loved the walkable location.Anonymous - Posted: 8/16/2023
Anonymous from Marburg - Posted: 4/13/2023
Had a nice stay in our 1br rental. We were 2 kids and 2 adults. Unit is compact and clean though very small. However, we were not inside much so no big deal. Fridge, cooking range and kitchen appear to be the 1970s or 1980s and could do with a revamp! Fireplace heating could not be turned off and ran 24/7. Very conveniently located and very kindly allowed us to use pool showers after checkout. Thanks for a nice stay!Anonymous from Washington - Posted: 3/24/2023
Satisfied. This said, we would have appreciated that the management company to follow up on the few issues we had brought to their attention ( missing bath tube plug, leaking kitchen faucet, and fireplace that never goes off). It would also have been appreciated if there had been a little more amenities, such as a pair of scissors, and a few more glasses.Anonymous from Gatineau - Posted: 2/21/2023
We stayed in Whistler at Lake Placid Lodge #121 from december 1st to december 15th. We had a great time there. It wasn ́t our first time at the Lake Placid lodge, it ́s the third time we have been there.
This was the worst condo we had! Furniture old and shabby. The fireplace didn ́t work, but it ́s fan was running continuosly and loud, fan disabled the third day after compliant. The fridge is a little filthy. The exhaust hood is dirty and should be renewed. The hinges of the bathroom door are rusty.
The worst happened at departure: we where ready to leave at a quarter to ten. We just took away the garbage to the basement. The code of the condo door didn ́t work anymore! The service master of Lake Placid Lodge, Aaron did his best to help us, but it took an hour until at last a locksmith could reset the code and we could open the door. The bus at scheduled at 10 past ten was gone, happy to get the next bus at twelve a clock and the plane was delayed nearly two hours, therefore we were still on time
The locksmith ́s invoice 99,75 $ arrived yesterday and, as it is a fault of the rental company I expected a reimbursement. This inquiry has not been answered until today!Anonymous from Whistler - Posted: 1/13/2023

The bed mattress was uncomfortably soft and the pillows were flat. They need to be changed to new ones. Extra towels for pool use should have been provided. Property was quiet and easy to access.Anonymous from Vancouver - Posted: 7/22/2022
Overall, we had a wonderful time in Creekside and at this unit. However, several things were not quite as we might have liked:
1. The sofa bed was not useable as a bed. When opened, the mattress was thin and worn out. You could feel the springs and metal braces when laying on it.
2. Although the Kitchen was satisfactory, with sufficient plates, utensils and cooking pans, etc. There was only a small amount of salt and pepper. Most places I have rented in the past have had additional spices.
3. Although we knew there was no washer & dryer, the hook-ups were there in a closet. It would improve the unit to have the laundry facilities (even if the cost were a bit higher)
On the plus side - it was convenient to the mountain, to the village and had plenty of room for 2 people. The access (using codes) worked great and having a secure and dry place to put our skis was great.
I'd recommend this unit, but until the sofa bed is upgraded/replaced, it should not be advertised as a 4 person unit.Anonymous from Springfield - Posted: 2/22/2022
My first impression staying at creekside is a little bit subtle than im used to, perhaps I should tell you a little something about myself in order for you to understand my expectations of a ski accomodations. I have visited a lot of ski destinations during the past, mostly in North America, to name a few I have been to Tahoe Sierra Nevada ( heavenly, northstar, alpine meadows ) the big three in Banff National Park as well as in Colorado. And almost every ski vacations that we go to, we always try to find the best deals perhaps the lowest price bundled which includes airfare, lift pass and accomodations. And throughout the years we have been doing a great job in finding the best deals online. Despite of our effort to get the beat deals online we also want to make sure that quality and our satisfaction are met beyond our expectations and I must say that my experience with customer service at lake placid is splendid to say the least despite of “contactless concierge” since everything is dealt via email and phonecall from whistler retreats, perhaps this is what should be expected given the times we live in a post pandemic period, however it would be better if there is at least a front desk with a n actual service representative to coordinate with at least during business hours. As far as the location, it is fair enough to say that the transport system to and from the village was somewhat accessible, the lack of stores and apres scene at the creekside village makes us even more anxious to head out to the village for mainstream nightlife besides every ski experience goes beyond the mountain slopes. All in all, I am satisfied with my stay at lake placidAnonymous from Honolulu - Posted: 2/13/2022
Unit 121 at Lake Placid Lodge worked well for our 5 nights ski vacation. The apartment was well appointed. It is run like a hotel, so there were lots of fresh towels and the bed was comfortable. There were enough kitchen tools to cook our dinners but not much in terms of staples: one serving of coffee, salt and pepper, that was it! Hopefully, we had brought our own condiments and food. The grocery store is close by and offers a good variety of fresh produce albeit pricey. Liquor store is also a 5 minute walk from the lodge. The Creekside gondola is 200 meters away which is great. The hot tub and heated pool were awesome after a day of skiing. I would book again!Anonymous - Posted: 1/21/2022
We enjoyed Lake Placid Lodge very much during our week there. Positives were pool/hottub/sauna, and outdoor dining area. We also enjoyed the quiet, and the free parking was a blessing in Whistler. Our unit was sufficiently spacious for 2, especially the kitchen. Only complaints were that the stopper in the bathroom sink was not working when we arrived and it took 2 contacts to reach someone, but then a repairman showed up in a few hours. Also, the pull-out couch was too uncomfortable for my son to sleep on, and the sheets on it were significantly stained, so he just slept on the couch. Starbucks and bike rental are just across the street. 10am check-out is early. 11am or noon would have been appreciated.Anonymous from North Vancouver - Posted: 8/29/2021
We especially enjoyed the large swimming pool. Unfortunately the hot tub was far too hot to be usable.Anonymous - Posted: 8/23/2021

We stayed in the apartment in March, 2020. The place is in a very convenient location from the ski lift, grocery store and a bus stop. The place itself is pleasant but small and dark, the washroom and kitchen are quite outdated with a kind of a weird smell of the kitchen cupboards. Because of our frequent trips to the whistler village next time I would prefer to stay there....however buses to the village are very frequent and a bus ride takes up to 10-15 minutes.Anonymous from Mississauga (Clarkson / Southdow - Posted: 3/19/2020
Acceptable stay
We stayed (2 people) unit 121 Lake Placid lodge
positive: great location. They allowed us to do a late check out at no additional cost
negative: general maintenance of the property is lacking.
cleanliness is bad. Old and smelling bedding
Departament size ok for 2 people but very small for 4
It is reported at the time of booking, the department does not have a washing machine or cleaning service (the cost of washing and drying in the $ 6 loundry)
I would return to this property only if there is a significant economic difference from other hotles in the areaAnonymous from Buenos Aires - Posted: 3/14/2020
You can’t get any closer for the price. We were .07 miles according to my watch. The only flaw(not seriously a problem at all) was you had to walk up a few flights of stairs to get to the lift. Loved the convenience. Didn’t realize I was getting a one bedroom suite. Nice sleeper sofa by fireplace plus a separate bedroom and kitchen. I’m not fancy, but this was one of the nicer places I’ve stayed.Anonymous - Posted: 2/18/2020
Could not ask for a better location. So close to the slopes, great room, hot tub, and pool.Anonymous from Oklahoma City - Posted: 1/17/2020
The village itself and the skiing conditions were incredible. I highly recommend staying in Creekside it is easily accessible by bus from Whistler Village and it is quieter and less expensive. The fireplace, patio and ski equipment room was a nice touch. We stayed for four nights and enjoyed the hot tub and kitchen cooking several times. My only concern was the cleanliness. When we arrived there was mold and mildew on the shower curtain and in the shower. After requesting a new curtain we got one there was still even a little mold on the new curtain we got! Also, the kettle was gross and I used the microwave instead to make hot tea. However, the location was unbeatable.Anonymous from Braintree - Posted: 1/13/2020
I stayed at this property twice over the Christmas holiday period, with one week in between at another apartment across the hallway - which gave me a great benchmark to compare.
This apartment was clean but there were areas that need improvement and some touches the other apartment had which meant that it was, despite being the same size etc, vastly superior.
1. There were no pool towels or robes to use. In the middle of winter a robe is a nice touch but even pool towels would have been appreciated so we did not have to avoid mixing up the bath towels
2. No compost bin or bag. All trash in the building has to be sorted for recycling and compost. A bin or even bags to make this easier would have been helpful, along with a separate garbage bin for recycling
3. The smoke detector was super sensitive (or the oven has issues) because every time we used the oven it set it Off and we had to set up fans and leave the main door ajar to cook
4. Cooking utensils and appliances are old and are sparse. The most annoying is that the kitchen knives are all completely blunt (probably because glass chopping boards are provided). The handle of one utensil kept falling off
5. Pillows are tiny and very thin. Some extra, larger pillows would be a nice touch.
These might not seem like huge things but with the amount of money this accommodation cost, I expected better.
Location is great - would not recommend for beginner skiers though as there is no access back to the Gondola other than down some more runs that get busy and can be icy at the end of the day. Perfect for intermediate and advanced skiersAnonymous from Brisbane - Posted: 1/12/2020
We love the location of Lake Placid Resort as it is close to the lift, grocery store, liquor store, pubs and a Starbucks and Tims. The condo is clean and cozy with all needed supplies. I booked the condo bcs it was ski in ski out and it came with a kitchenette at a reasonable rate. I needed the kitchen facility for my children with food allergies. We received a security code a week or so prior to our stay as promised. What I didn’t realized at our 3am arrival was that there are potentially 3 areas where I can input this code in the locked lobby entrance. After nearly 20 minutes I finally saw the small keypad located not on either side but in between the two main doors.
I would have appreciated a better description of the where exactly the keypad is located.
The next morning in the light of day I realized that the gondola was up the stairs and across the street. I found this to be a misrepresentation of the property’s description. Carrying heavy skis up the stairs is not an easy task for me let alone my young children.
I did enjoy having the kitchen available. The showers were nice and hot. Bed comfortable. Kids really enjoyed the heated outdoor pool and we enjoyed the jacuzzi.

The unit is very well-located and the building secured ski room as well (entrance lobby). The code system to access building and unit is efficient. The unit though would benefit from some maintenance and furniture replacement, i.e., the queen bed is very comfortable but the armchair is torned up, some window blinds are broken; some walls should be painted. The oven was dirty, the coffed pot still had a used coffee bag and the bathroom had hairs on the floor. A very nice gesture that really made this place welcoming upon our arrival was having the table set with plates, wine glasses and napkins.
We found the place through Owners Direct but we did not like having to deal through two entities (initial confusion and having two make payments separately); dealing with Whistler Retreats was efficient.Anonymous from Ottawa (Lower Town / Sandy Hill - Posted: 3/2/2018

If you do not want to be in the heart of the village but in Creekside this location was great. Steps to the Gondala,Dusty's, the market store for groceries, liquor store, Can Ski rental, bus stop to the village and the Southside dinner.
Room met our needs for two. It would be tight for four.
Note that if you do not have a car ( we shuttled from Van ) they want you to go to the village to check in first which is crazy frustrating with all of your gear. We did not feel like the mgmt rep cared or wanted to help us in any way. They finally conceded and gave us the code to the lockbox to access the room and we promised them we would make our way directly to their office after which we did.
Other than that little things in the room such as very poor lighting in the bedroom and a moldy shower curtain were a nuisance. Maybe install one of the curved shower rods to make the shower just a little bit bigger would be a nice touch. Also we were there for a week could have used a bit more toilet paper.
Hot tub was always hot which we appreciated.
All in all we were happy. Thanks.Anonymous from Thornbury - Posted: 3/14/2017

We loved our stay at Lake Placid Lodge. It was the perfect location for my husband and I and our two friends who came up for half of our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the quieter, slower pace of Creekside and can't wait to visit again!
There were a few little things - the shower curtain rod wouldn't stay up and kept falling down (it had fallen down prior to our arrival), the oven didn't work and the dishwasher was a little finicky, but for the price, they weren't deal breakers. When I called the main office about the oven, the receptionist (super sweet lady!) said she would send a maintenance guy over to check it out. He came about two hours later but had grabbed the wrong element and therefore couldn't fix it. He said he'd be back the next day, but never showed. We had brought some food up to bake, so it was a bummer that the oven didn't work, but it wasn't the end of the world.Anonymous - Posted: 12/14/2016

We stayed at lake placid cute little place people in the building really helpful. Great breakfast place right down the street. Only things that I would improve was the fireplace was not working and the baseboard heaters we turned off at the fuse box. It was a cooler rainy weekend and it took us a little while to figure out how get the heat working. Needed a few repairs some of the handles to the cupboards would fall off when you touched them. Other than that it was a nice place to stay.Anonymous from Bellevue - Posted: 10/11/2016
we called and advised we were arriving late, when we got there we couldn't find the lock box to get the keys. When we called the night receptionist , she was so rude. Not a nice welcome. There was no TV in the bedroom, stains on the carpet. Bathroom sink cracked , bathroom wall needs to re sealed , rusting stains. Blinds bent, needs to be changed. Cable cords for the TV , just hanging and cluttered, poses a hazard. Furniture is old, needs to be changed. The Location was great, market and restaurants close by.Anonymous from Burnaby (Lakeview-Mayfield / Ric - Posted: 9/20/2016

My family of 4 stayed in Lake Placid Lodge for 4 nights in the summer. We arrived after the office closed but were given clear instructions on how to access the key from the lock box. The only thing was that we had a hard time locating the parking location as the entrance had a relatively small garage door marked with Lake Placid, which we overlooked. We loved the full equipped kitchen and walked to the Creekside Market across the street daily to get fresh and reasonably price grocery. Also the coin operated laundry in the garage was very convenient and we were able to buy single use detergent from the market across the street for $0.69. The unit was cozy and feels like home. The drive to the village was about 7 minutes and that is where guests officially check in. We went to the office the next day and the staff there gave us excellent suggestions on activities in Whistler. The only suggestion is that the bathroom sink be replaced.Anonymous - Posted: 7/12/2016
Was good value for money and overall very good. Internet access was brilliant. BUT there were a few issues that were not acceptable even with it not being very expensive. Clean linen was delivered after 5 days as advertised but not clean sheets, even though we had specifically asked - luckily one of us was in and was able to insist on clean sheets. (We were there for 11 nights). Mattress protector was ripped and uncomfortable and no replacement ever came, even though was promised. Oven didn't work properly and even if it did there were absolutely no dishes to use in it. Bath tap dripped incessantly and no-one came to fix it even though we told them after day 1. Having to check in at Whistler Village was very problematic without a car. Luckily they let us get into the apartment the afternoon we arrived and let us check in the next day. Overall these things, while annoying, did not spoil our stay.Anonymous from Arch Hill - Posted: 4/17/2016
Thank-you for your comments. Please note that we only advertise one full check-out clean, which allows us to keep our rates down. For extended stays, we may offer a "trash & tidy", which includes emptying the trash and replacing towels. Additional housekeeping services are available for a fee however a sheet change is not automatically included for longer stays. Our check-in office location is also explained in the booking policies. We're pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Whistler!Whistler Retreats staff
First we were locked out of the room because they gave us the wrong lock box code and insisted we keep trying it. Half hour later we were told it was a computer error and were given the correct code with an apology. The room was not clean. The blinds were all broken and barely covered the windows. I'm pretty sure the sheets were not laundered. Gross!Anonymous from North Vancouver Inner East - Posted: 4/7/2016
Returning customer to Whistler Retreats, (5) stay in a Lake placid unit. For the first time we had an issue with amenities and experienced their customer service. The gas fireplace wasn't working properly. We had to call 2 times Whistler Retreats, the technician came 2 times, no change, the fireplace did not work the entire week. Very frustrating, Whistler Retreats representative did not call to follow-up nor explain the situation or offer any type of compensation.Anonymous from Laval - Posted: 2/16/2016
Generally good unit, great location, close to entrance, easy access to Gondola.
The tub tap dripped continuously and the drain was clogged with hair. Ski storage area- minimal free spots for skiis, could repair some to make them usable.Anonymous from Richmond - Posted: 2/6/2016
Everthing was perfect, from checkin to skiing to check out. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Reasonable rates, literally feet away from the gondola, just perfect.Anonymous from Spokane - Posted: 1/29/2016
Very good indeed!! Best place to relax and ski. Just a little bit too calm après-ski, if you're looking for more movement is better to choose Whistler than Creekside.Anonymous - Posted: 1/19/2016
We are a family of four and we recently spent a weekend in unit 121. The location could not be better as we enjoyed how close we were to Creekside Village and the Creekside Gondola. This was the second time we have stayed in unit 121 and after our last visit we gave some recommendations regarding the unit that we were hopeful would be acted on to make our stay more enjoyable. Unit 121 is listed as sleeping four but I would recommend not staying here if you are a group of four as the sleeping arrangements are not conducive to a good night's sleep. The master bedroom is very comfortable but the pull out couch is not a reasonable option for sleeping on. The blinds are all broken and difficult to use. The sitting chair in the living room is also broken. Overall the apartment needs some new furniture and updating to make this apartment worth staying in.Anonymous from Mission - Posted: 12/25/2015
We mostly enjoyed the space, but wow, the Sofa Bed was horrible. You cannot expect anyone to sleep on it. I tried putting it on the floor, off the frame, the springs stuck into my back all night. We booked for 3 nights...Horrible sleep!Anonymous - Posted: 12/16/2015
Apartment was really nice.. Everything was there what we needed. We enjoyed our stay very much.Anonymous from Orechové - Posted: 10/3/2015
Comfortable, convenient location, good amenities. The unit was clean and comfortable with plenty of crockery and utensils for self catering.Anonymous from Miranda - Posted: 8/29/2015
Clean and pleasant. Definitely the place to stay if you want to be independent. Easy bus ride to the village. No front desk and the number to contact the main desk had no info about dvd rentals that were advertised in the guest book. Overall very pleasantAnonymous - Posted: 8/29/2015
The place was exactly what we wanted. Perfect kitchen fully stocked. Very clean! Will definitely go back! P.s. watch out for the shuttle services, they like to leave w/o your consent. That was a whole other issue. Good luck! We had a blast!Anonymous from Novato - Posted: 8/17/2015
Very nice stay. Apartment had what was needed and the pool area with barbecue was really nice as well.Anonymous from Graested - Posted: 7/26/2015
Parking issueAnonymous - Posted: 7/10/2015
Although Lake Placid was in the ideal location for our stay, the condo was a little dated and could use some upgrades. That being said we enjoyed our time and would return to Lake Placid; however, we would prefer a condo on the 3rd floor which is quieter.Anonymous from Sarasota - Posted: 5/4/2015
Closely locate to ski lift and supermarket, great location for family stay.Anonymous from Hong Kong - Posted: 2/24/2015
Sheets and blankets do not fit the mattress and constantly had to be adjusted.
Blind in living room is missing the plastic opener.
Leg on coffee table loose and wobbly and hinges need new screws.
Toilet flusher often has to be held down for the full flush or will not flush completely.
Toaster toasts on one side of bread only.
Coffee pot lid hinge broken.
Large unsightly stains on living room carpet.
Needs a broom to allow sweeping floors.
Should have 2 sets of keys. It is a nuisance to have to use lock box for second person all the time.Anonymous from Bath - Posted: 2/15/2015
Great location! Very enjoyable and no problems at all!I would stay here again next time.Anonymous from Tokyo - Posted: 10/20/2014
overall a good choice BUT very dissappointed about the dirty refrigerator condition and the damaged sink in the bathroom where you could hurt yourself badly (open scratches with rust)Anonymous from Berlin - Posted: 8/23/2014
We wanted to stay near the condo our son was staying ( Evolution), so the location worked for us. Clean unit but somewhat worn. I was disappointed that there were zero condiments. No sugar, creamer for the coffee maker so we purchased ready mixed instant packs. Good tv cable selection. Free phone was a plus. Would have liked to have seen some patio furniture on the patio. No air cond, got a bit warm during day, not needed at night. Ok for 4 nights, we were out most of the timeAnonymous from Thousand Oaks - Posted: 8/13/2014
There were no surprises. The room and facilities seemed dated, but in good working condition. Registration required a separate stop and a series of key lock gyrations (vs. being assigned a key card). The pool area was lovely and we had a great time relaxing there. We thought a few more restaurants and shops would be opened in the Creekside area (driving to Whistler village is close, but add parking/bus and the time adds up) but still found what we needed- making good use of the market and well-equipped kitchen area. I thought perhaps we would have a better view of the mountain, but this is truly at it's base, so it's difficult without stepping outside farther; that said, a few chairs for the patio would have been outstanding. We had to keep the windows open due to the warmth and there were some late, loud party goers which made sleep difficult, but they were outside of the property and this is a resort area. Overall, the unit was clean, comfortable, and a good value.Anonymous from Carmel - Posted: 8/7/2014
